Muse unleash spectacular spaceshow
There's marching robots, giant balloons and space domes
Muse kicked off the English leg of their UK tour tonight (November 10) with a spectacular space stageshow.
The three-piece treated the crowd to a bombastic 95 minute set at the MEN which borrowed heavily from recent album 'Black Holes & Revelations' as the band performed the likes of 'Take A Bow', 'Invincible' plus hit singles 'Supermassive Black Hole', 'Starlight' and old favourites 'Plug In Baby' and 'New Born'.
The gig also gave fans the chance to experience the band's new outlandish set which saw Dominic Howard take up stick duties under a giant space dome.
Throughout the show the audience were subjected to a host of projections on giant TV screens including giant marching robots and images of deep space. As the band launched into 'Bliss', huge white balloons filled with red glitter were also unleashed over the crowd.
As previously reported on NME.COM, frontman Matt Bellamy, who tonight was dressed in a black soldier's outfit, revealed that the outlandish set was based on artwork from their album which focuses on a secret base that the authorities used to influence the behaviour of the world's population.
Towards the end of the show, the trio drew a mass sing-a-along when they performed Absolution hit 'Time Is Running Out'.
The band also performed their usual Nina Simone cover 'Feeling Good' before rounding the night off with a blistering rendition of forthcoming single 'Knights Of Cydonia'.
