New Muse Message

Muse have sent an e-mail out to their mailing list.

Fed up with weather reports? How about some Muse News?

The band have spent most of January working hard in the studio. Dom has been venturing a little further afield in the name of audio experimentation and was last seen serenading some sheep. Click here to see more. Recording is going really well and the band are hoping to get the album out later in the year.

The guys did take some time off from recording last week to team up with the BBC for the filming of a new Radio 1 TV ident which will have Knights Of Cydonia as the soundtrack. Five lucky Muse fans got to go along and appear in the crowd scene, while the band shot their scene a few days later. Have a look at our twitpic page to see a couple of pictures from the shoot; silver ribbons, huge fans... we think it's going to look pretty cool.

And while we're on the subject, 4000 of you are already aware that we've been tweeting for a while now, but for those of you who are on twitter and want to get muse-related updates, head over to Twitter and join us! The band have put up some photos from the studio in Italy over the last few days that you might like to check out!

Finally, if you've got a few minutes to spare, why not head over to the NME Awards website. Muse are up for four awards - Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best DVD and Best Album Artwork. Matt is also nominated for the Sexiest Male Award and you can vote for band favourites Glasvegas to win the Best New Band and Best Album awards. Finally Twilight, the film adaptation of Muse fan Stephanie Meyer's best selling book which features Supermassive in the soundtrack is also shortlisted for Best Film.

And if those aren't enough reasons to head over and cast your vote, you can also enter into a competition to win tickets to the awards which take place at Brixton Academy on February 25th.

Until next time...
