Muse Announces Robert "Mutt" Lange as the Producer of the 7th Album

On Muse's official Instagram account (October 23rd), the band announced they are currently working on the production of LP7 with Robert John “Mutt” Lange, writing: “We are honoured to be making our new album with this legendary producer. #backinblack”, alongside a picture with the members of AC/DC and the legend himself.

Arena rock producer, Robert, worked with AC/DC on the likes of Back in Black, Highway to Hell and For Those About to Rock. Whilst commonly mentioned in the same breath as this band, he has also worked with Def Leppard (where he helped them break into the American market), Foreigner and Bryan Adams, as well as countless pop acts such as Lady Gaga, Shania Twain and Britney Spears.

Muse have not used a producer for their last two albums (The Resistance and The 2nd Law), instead choosing to self-produce - a decision that has proved controversial with the fan community.

The album is scheduled to arrive in summer 2015 - exciting times!
