Isle of Wight Setlist and NME Coverage

Muse finished the second day (June 9) of the Isle Of Wight Festival with a giant headlining set.

Warming up for next weekend's Wembley mega gigs (June 16-17), the band bombarded Seaclose Park with an epic rock 'n' roll and blinding light show.

Using last winter's touring set - complete with their space pod drum riser -the trio gave little away in terms of their forthcoming gigs.

However demonstrating an impressive strength in depth, Muse proved worthy bill toppers at the Isle Of Wight.

The show was also a special one for frontman Matt Bellamy, who celebrated his 29th birthday today.

"Hello Isle Of Wight, it's a beautiful island," drummer Dominic Howard told the crowd. "It's Matt's birthday today, he's getting old!"

"I'm happy to be here," countered Bellamy. "What a great birthday!"

Performing a set that included opener 'Knights Of Cydonia', 'Invincible' and 'Starlight', the band also played Shadows cover 'Man Of Mystery'.

The new instrumental track is set to appear on CD for the first time next week exclusively on a special compilation picked by Muse and given away free only with next week's issue of NME.
