China Music Radar, a website dedicated to rock music in mainland China, reports that Muse may have signed a contract to play in the People's Republic.

The article links to a screenshot of a (now deleted) tweet from Matt, showing a document written in simplified Chinese. However it also describes some of the issues related to foreign acts playing in China, such as the extreme difficulty in obtaining performance licenses. It also cites the less-than-harmonious nature of some of the band's lyrics. During their 2010 concert in Hong Kong, screen footage of then-president Hu Jintao during United States of Eurasia led to a sharp intake of breath from some in the audience.

Muse recently announced that they plan to celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2014, hinting at a "little club show" to mark the occasion.

Dom Howard recently told XFM - "Hopefully we will do some special shows for it or something. It will be nice to celebrate and play some little club and go: "Jesus Christ, can't believe we're 20 years old as a band."".

Brandon Flowers, frontman of The Killers, has dropped hint about a possible collaboration with Muse.

MTV.co.uk
Brandon Flowers says if they made a track together, it would be 'spectacular'...

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has revealed a collaboration with fellow rockers Muse could be on the cards.

According to The Sun, the two bands were spotted hanging out together at the 2012 MTV EMA after party on Sunday (11th November) - with Flowers later revealing they may hit the studio soon.

Brandon told the tabloid: "We’ve become good friends with Muse. We get along so well, so I’d never rule out working together.

"We would be trying to outdo each other. It would be spectacular, the choruses would be huge.”

Flowers, who is due to play Wembley Stadium with The Killers next June, said of their biggest stand-alone show: "We thought it was time to play Wembley, it is something we sought out."

As well as chilling out with The Killers, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has also revealed he took a tour of the red-light district in Frankfurt after performing at the EMA.

He said: "I walked around and looked at all the prostitutes. I was just checking it out because you don’t see that kind of thing in England, so I was very interested.”
