Muse have just made the most insane album of their career. Kerrang! counts down to 'Black Holes and Revelations'...

You always record albums in a number of studios. Why is that?

Christopher Wolstenholme (bass): "Recording it first in the remote French countryside, then New York was great. The choice of location is always important to us, but we always use a few studios because we get twitchy after a while. When we recorded 'OOS', we'd do two or three takes, say fuck it, take some mushrooms and jump in the hot tub. Then when we heard the early mixes we wondered why they were shit. So we were a bit more focused this time." ...
