I just watched The Reader. It is very rare for a movie to push me to tears. This is one of them.

Spent quite a lot of time at the cinema this week:

Slumdog Millionaire - finally got round to seeing it. Thought it was good but was a bit underwhelmed due to all the hype surrounding it.

The Young Victoria - quite enjoyable.

Let The Right One In - different to what i expected but thought it was really good. Would quite like to see it again once it's properly released.

Watchmen - AWESOME!

Matt Bellamy nose best.

Wolf Creek - dissapointment. "Scariest film of the year" for 2005, apparently... must've been a shite year for horror -.-

Meet The Parents - was just on when I switched the dvd player off. I like it. Stiller + De Niro = win!

That is a REALLY sad film...

Watched Watchmen tonight. Couldnt help but feeling a bit bored in parts. I liked the cinematography and effects and stuff but it was a bit slow paced in parts.

Gran Torino. Brilliant film. Clint was amazing. I can't believe it wasn't nominated for a single Oscar. He should have got Best Actor over everyone who was nominated for that.

He has to be the best actor not to win that award.

I thought Gran Torino was one of the worst films of the year. It looked cheap and made for TV. I can't believe the love it's getting.

Agreed it does look like it could have been made for TV, but I really enjoyed it. It is odd looking back as everyone in the cinema laughed at some of Clint (or Walt)'s racism.

And you think... should I have laughed at that?

Yeah, I've been reading that that's the common reaction. I think it was supposed to be laughed at, though.

It was. No doubt, the character was meant to be a twat, but he gradually became a likable character. I heard someone call him 'a bit of legend' on the way out.

I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on Friday, and I thought it was amazing. It's been a while since a film has roped me in so well. It's not the best film I've seen in the past year but it's definitely one of the best.

I also watched Reservoir Dogs for the first time on Saturday morning. Loved that too. I'm not even sure why I thought it was so good. I just... did.

Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

You always come out of that smiling. Mainly due to the most inappropriate credits music after that ending!

Silence Of The lambs. I always miss it and now I've finally got round to watching it. Nice. That scene in the ambulance is genius.

Hopkins really deserved Best Actor for that. He holds the record for the least screen time to win an award. 16 minutes or something.

Switchblade Romance

New Boooorn ^^ Not the reason I watched it. I've seen it before, a couple of times, and I was shocked the first when I heard that piano! Sped up a touch me thinks, though.
