In the States? Really? Did not know that.
The Killers always have been and always will be utter garbage to me. I saw them live before I heard any of their music and they were just dreadful. Since then I just haven`t been interested. I tried listening to Hot whatever it`s called. Mr Brightside is an ok song but after that I couldn`t give a toss.
Never understood their popularity.
The Killers are very good live nowadays to be honest, Flowers has the kind of energy on stage that Matt used to have but has since lost a bit. The songs from their new album all sound a hell of a lot better than Survival or anything on The Resistance as well tbh.
Having said that, Muse would always outsell them so I'm not sure they're the reason for the push back.

Its a shame we're left to guess why instead of any official comment.

It's just been delayed? Probably because of other album's coming out or production of the album being heavy etc - Wouldn't worry about it.

It's most likely connected to this, which did have an official response from Warner, which at least confirms that this opinion of the retailers did reach Warner Bros Records, and could be the reason why it was delayed. This probably having been decided by the business side of the label, not the band.

It couldn't be nominated for a Grammy anyway. The Resistance had to wait until 2011 too and that came out on 14th Sept.
edit; unless the Grammy's change those deadlines every year, I have no idea about that.
