Ridiculous stuff over the last couple of days. Especially delighted for Murray! The gold almost seems insignificant - I just love the fact that he's managed to absolutely obliterate both Federer and Djokovic at Wimbledon. Also over the moon that Del Potro at least beat Djokovic for the bronze.

We're the kings of Cycling. Pitty they cut down the number of events within the Cycling by about half a dozen or so this year. Wankers. Could of won a lot more medals.

Wahowwwwwww, Victoria Pendleton! Bit racy... I'd never particularly considered her as a bit of a fitty but that's changed my mind. And she is a fucking amazing cyclist, more to the point. Am I right in saying she's got the sprint coming up tomorrow/Wednesday? If so, I've never felt more confident of winning a gold. I'd bet my life on her getting gold in pretty much any velodrome event.

Everything about it is badass: the bikes, the outfits (they look like superheroes!), the arena, the tactical side, the sudden bursts of speed, the riders playing chicken with each other. The fact GB's riders are so good at it makes it even tastier to watch -- surprisingly enjoyable. I hardly get to see it, but I love it when it's on.
That French bloke Bauge is a beast, too. Marvel should make a one-off comic around him, similar to the BMX Bandit in That Mitchell and Webb Look. Or not . . . that might be the Calpol talking.

Pendelton is amazing. She's got ridiculous acceleration. As soon as she turns on the burners; it's game over.
Pitty she's retiring after this race  I think Chris Hoy is as well, but I know Vicky definitely is. But we're so good at Cycling I'm sure someone will step up and replace them.
^^ Yeah I agree about the riders looking cool as fuck. The outfits look ace. Paticually the one Team GB are wearing this year, I love it. The bikes are amazing, the amount of research and science that goes in to making them is quite astonishing. £20,000 if you want want :P

Aw, shit one for Pendleton in her final race, especially considering she was relegated from that first victory! But still, she's been bloody brilliant to watch, as have the cycling teams as a whole. Great stuff for Hoy to win yet another gold, too. And I'm so happy for Laura Trott! She absolutely destroyed that Yank in the final time trial. Loved how she went over to her family, too, and her interview. She's such a cutie!
I kind of wish we'd hosted the Olympics earlier, just because it's massively inspiring. If I'd been 8/12 and watched us winning all those cycling medals, I'd have bought a bike and worked like fuck to make the Olympic GB team. Not saying I would have been any good, but it would have been nice to take up a sport at an early age and follow it through properly.

Holy shit! The BMX'in is fucking hardcore!
Watched about a dozen races and there was major crashes in all but 2. Riders breaking bones on impact then getting ran over and shit straight after! In one race literally every rider crashed on the first turn bar the leader, who gently peddled the rest of the track as he had no competition.
