So far I've only heard it during the section just after an event has finished, the wide angle at the back of the stadium with the only audio being from that camera.

Some information about the closing ceremony from the London 2012 website :
"The Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games will be titled ‘A Symphony of British Music’, to celebrate the fact that music has been one of Britain’s strongest cultural exports over the last 50 years. The worldwide broadcast of the Ceremony will start at 9pm and feature more than 4,100 performers, including 3,500 adult volunteers and 380 schoolchildren from the six east London Host Boroughs.
Organisers will work with some of the country’s most globally successful musicians, along with some of the industry’s stars of tomorrow. The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) has been appointed to record the soundtracks for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games."
Sounds great, I'll be interested to see where Muse come into that

I've heard Survival once. It was playing in the background while the audience were waiting for fencing to begin, looking extremely bored which was quite funny to see. A terrible, overblown song playing while nothing was happening. The only thing missing was tumbleweed.

I hope survival won't be just another song among others...it's supposed to be THE official song

I havent heard "Survival" at all watching the Olympics over here in the states...I've Heard "Home" by Phillip Phillips like every day, every half hour....might be due because he won American Idol, but stilll....c'mon
