Amazing piano, incredible vocals, astonishing guitars, all those weird noises in the background, the unbelievable solo, the ace sustained voice at the end, the drumming and bass are of a new kind of quality, the intro and the outro took the song to a new level too... that's why I choose Survival.

Citizen Erased. While it's not as complex as Survival, it has much more power, and does require a little more from the band despite the fact that it's musically simpler, due to the length, dynamic changes, tempo changes, different variations of the A minor scale, etc.

I can't read the argument when I click then link (it says there's some sort of technical error), but it must be bloody compelling if you've got most people favouring Survival over CE?!  Lolwut! I'd really like to read it, actually, to see how this could be the case - I'm actually baffled.

Survival...The Beautiful Queen influences and whimsical backing vocals are what really makes it Muse's best song to date. Freddie Mercury is surely not tossing in his grave at the sound of this surefire number one hit. We need not indulge ourselves in long, boring songs like Citizen Erased and instead pray that Muse condense their talents into songs like Survival.

Exactly, because when you take into account that CE segues into Micro Cuts, the whole thing is over 10 minutes long! We don't need that, we have Survival, a 4:17 masterpiece.

It's a shame the argument link didn't work. I'm sure it would've been amazing. I reckoned it would've been such a good argument, that it convinced me just by being there. Voted for Survival "manually".
