I don't base my preferences in music on acclaim. I started listening to them when I wanted something instrumental other than classical music to study with. They stuck and now have a calming effect on me in many a time of distress.
I'm not a post-rock expert so I don't know all of them and the amount of acclaim they get. I do recognize EitS's music is softer and more spun-out than most bands associated with them. Maybe that's where you get "boring" from, but I disagree.

Coldplay, Antlers and Bon Iver were all either great or phenomenal. Radiohead was shit, as we all know. But I guess those will be the top 4.

I can now announce that, as everyone has already guessed, the remaining artists are The Antlers, Bon Iver, Coldplay and Radiohead. Now question is in which order. I'll let you think about that and post #4 tomorrow
And Sean, a cookie drenched in beer does sound like a pretty good one!

Having a quick glance at the previous pages looks like a lot of people selected Coldplay so my guess is that will win. Shouldn't though easily their worst album.

Agreed with RandomJ. Mylo Xyloto is garbage, by far Coldplay's worst yet.

imo X&Y is their best. Closely followed by the 2 old ones, then Viva La Vida... and then a huge jump to Mylo Xyloto

If you think MX and X&Y are their third best, I don't think I wanna know your least favourite. Parachutes, A Rush of Blood and Viva la Vida are above and beyond those two albums in every possible way imo
