Just seen the new facebook timeline profile (not the old timeline above your friends) thats is set to be put in place soon, if youve seen it what do you think.
I think it makes your profile page alot more complicated and cluttered, and its a bit stalkerish you can go back to any year since activation and look around.
Post opinions here.

With the exception of the straight jump to any point in the profile's history, I quite like it.

Fucking horrible. I'd rather someone make the effort to see what I post in 2007 if they wanted to, looks like I'll be deleting many a status. Eurgh, like that previous status thing wasn't enough, I don't want to be reminded of how much of a dick/strange person I was 4 years a go.

I never use it. I mean, I've had it for months, but I've never had a use for it. Nor do I ever look at my own profile so I don't really care.

Wait, so Facebook's to blame for you being a dick in the past? That makes complete sense. Just set aside an hour or two to go back to the start and hide/delete anything you don't like. Of course, I'm forgetting that people are naturally hostile to change, even if it's for the better. I remember a similar level of outrage the last time they changed things around, and people got over that pretty quick, so...
I think it's awesome. The aesthetics of it are really nice, the idea is good and it's executed pretty well. Quite a few times I've thought 'What was that link I/a friend posted?' or something, took an educated guess at when it was, and found it from there.
Better than clicking 'older posts' a million fucking times.

EDIT: All I was saying that if people really wanted to read a post, I'd rather they have to go through the longest route, it just makes stalking so much easier and creepy.
And I said I'll be deleting my posts, I'd rather not be reminded of embarrassing and cringy "LOL XD XD XP" posts from when I was 15/16.

And yeah, it is very easy to go back and look at old and embarrassing posts, but it's also very easy to go back and find stuff you want to find too. I've just spent the last 20 minutes sifting through January to July of 2010, deleting the shite I don't want people to re-read. And I highly doubt anyone's went 'Oh, I wonder what Alex was saying in spring 2009, let's go look!'. You'd need to be a right weird cunt to do that with someone. I've long since deleted/blocked any of those weird cunts off my Facebook.
It's really not that big a deal once you've cleared it up.

It got officially released in NZ last week (they used us as guinea pigs -_- pfft) but apparently you could've tested it out ages ago if you said you were a developer.

Theirs loads of shitty pop ups & advertisments on there that i can't get rid of. Chat doesn't work what so ever. Fucking ridiculous. Click on the options for chat and they just don't load up. Everyone i speak to say Facebook is shit cause it irritates them to fuck.

Sounds like you need an ad blocker for your browser, and this. That should fix a lot of the annoyances.
