Needless to say, UEFA have seriously fucked up the seedings for this. Putting Poland up there with Spain and the Netherlands is crazy.
LOL
You're a fucking idiot.
I just hope he was joking.
Wait....deadstar666 talking shit about football? Yeah, he was probably being serious.

I don't understand what was stupid about my post. Giving a team an easy draw just because they're hosting the tournament is ridiculous, I don't see how people could disagree that having Poland and Ukraine as top seeds is silly.

I'm not totally sure where you're coming from right now. I do tend to have opinions which people disagree with, but seeing as though other people had commented on the same point that I did and I've been abused doesn't really make sense. Notably Sean and Toe both expressed the same view as myself.

I can see your point completely, that there being better teams i.e. Germany, Portugal etc, that arguably deserve a top seed more than Poland & Ukraine.
You're basically questioning the fairness of why they should be given top seeds just because they're the host. Which is fair enough.... But I think people are calling you out because it looked like you didn't realise that they were top seeds because they were hosting.
But I suppose it's made it interesting (Group B in particular).
Take the pieces and build them skywards.

Even though you are a Liverpool and Netherlands fan, I admit I also read it in the logical way.

I'm firmly with the old school in this one, and think that the host nations should get automatically top seeded. They want to keep the home nations in as long as possible to retain a national interest in the tournament, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Especially in the Euros, which is one of the most difficult tournaments to win anyway. Sucks to see the home nation out after two games.

Depends on the nation I guess. I agree that a large part of the crowd will mostly constitute of the natives, but some nations aren't too patriotic or just don't expect much from their team (I'd put Poland/Ukraine supporters in this category), so readily adopt other teams to support after theirs exits, instead of completely ignoring the rest of the tournament.
Slight digression - this is why I shall be behind Germany after England go out (lose vs France, draw vs Sweden, win vs Ukraine).
Of course they can't change the rule depending on whether that nation has sulky supporters or not, so I guess the rule should stay.

Abusing you always makes sense. I didn't really care that much about the comment, just wanted to take the opportunity to call you a fucking idiot.
Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

I think the problem with your comment was that you made it sound like UEFA decided to seed Poland and Ukraine rather than the fact that it was simply following procedures. Obviously they got seeded as hosts which is a thing that's been granted for many years... I still find it silly. This tournament is a pretty good example how big a difference seeding the hosts can make to the whole tournament. In my opinion it proves that its an outdated system which can pretty make or break the tournament for other nations when the hosts arent top teams.
Obviously it wont make a big difference for like WC 2014 in Brazil. But then theres gonna be WC 2022 in Qatar. Imagine top seeding a team thats never even qualified before. Those games will most likely be 3 easy wins for the other nations in that group...
If you still want to give the hosts and advantage, i'd suggest boosting the hosts coefficients. That way maybe Poland and Ukraine could've landed pot 3 spots rather than pot 2.
