I'm not sure at all. Sometimes I'm terrified, others I'm not, I can picture myself actually being tired of life and wanting out when I finally meet my maker. On the other hand, what the fuck's gonna happen!?

good question. it hasnt crossed my mind yet. its not death the im most scared of because we all die. its the pain and suffering that i would leave behind to my family and friends because of my death. The burden of death on them would devastating to me and that's what i fear most, the fact that my death will affect my family for until they die and that they have to live with that.

Hmm. Not really. Being dead doesn't really worry me. I know I'm going to go to heaven and spend eternity watching action movies, drinking ice cold beers and playing frisbee with my old dog Puddles, God rest his soul. The actual act of dying though is a different matter. If I pass quietly into the night then no I'm not scared. If I'm saving orphans from a fire then a little bit but at least I'll go out in style. It's when I'm caught in some sort of Human Centipede situation that I'll probably have a bead on.

It scares the hell out of meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And the end is all I can seeeeeeeeeeeeee! Sorry, sorry! In all seriousness now, not too much. Like what has been said before, I hope I'm not the first to die among the others around me because I'd hate to leave everyone I love with pain.

Either option 1 or 3, the thought of suddenly no longer existing freaks me out. I think what scares me the most is not knowing what is going to happen.

If I've lived a fulfilling life, managed to get children and maybe grandchildren, done the things I've wanted to do, then dying is perfectly fine by me. I'd probably be really bored if I lived too long. Better end it on a high, before I turn into a vegetable in a chair.

...And then I said; Oatmeal, are you CRAZY?!

The last option.
I don't really have any feelings towards dying. I've also never lost someone I really cared a lot about (yet), so death is a very abstract thing to me. And it's not possible to imagine what being dead would be like, because there's nothing, so I also don't know why I should be scared of it.

Getting old and weak and being in pain would be terrible yeah, but I don't worry about that either because I'm extremely bad at long term thinking. I'm not even able to worry about something that happens next week, let alone worry about growing old and dying.

The only thing that bothers me is that I wish I could be around to see what the world will be like in the year 2100 and later though. I want to know what people will invent then and how they'll live. So hopefully when I'm old, I won't really care about that anymore. I want to be one of those old people who believes that the world was a better place when they were young.

Sometimes I go through phases of being a bit scared of it, yeah. Like, I don't really believe in anything after you die. I think it's probably just like you're sleeping, for eh... the rest of time. Which is comforting on one hand, and terrifying on the other. But I'd like to think there's something else, sure.

The thing that scares me is the utter finality of it all. You don't even get to respawn. It's shite.

The actual act of dying? I know you always hear that people are calm and shit, but I don't think so. I mean that's it. If I was dying I'd be scared shitless. Hell, there's times I get myself scared even though I've probably got about 55-60 years left in me. I wish I could just not be bothered but the fact is, some people can't help thinking about it. I'm like that. In phases.

Of natural causes? Not so much, but obviously I'm scared of dying some other way. Like, violently. But not to the point where I actively think about it and let if affect my life.

I'm scared of missing out on life, and I'm scared of leaving people I love behind forever, but I'm not scared of the act itself. If I had nothing to live for then it would be fine.

and this. Though getting old, weak and in pain would at least make death some kind of relief.

I'm absolutely terrified of dying. I go through these phases where I think it about it and what your final moments must be like, even if I die in what is considered to be a calm way, I still reckon i'll be terrified as it happens. It's that sense of finality which really gets me, I can't comprehend what it must be like to not be breathing/awake...i'm not a believer in the afterlife (as much as i'd like there to be one) so I find the whole thing very frightening.

That makes me sound like a real downer, this is why I try to not think about it

Not afraid no. Concerned sometimes. Like for five seconds thinking: Oh, how sad if I were to pass away, everybody would miss and grief me. Then I just realise it's stupid thought as I can't do anything about it. So I stop thinking about it.
