Who cares about Matts's vocals? They've always been wank

Worst comment ever.

I wouldn't listen to this guy much. He has another comment saying Matt's the best vocalist and lyricist he's heard.

Ohh the irony.

Matt's vocals have historically been whiny, nasal and gasping. It's only recently he's become a more professional singer.

Honestly, if I've been playing live for almost 12 years now, I wouldn't give a shit either... he must be getting bored with some of those songs and just having some fun.

Maybe a solution would be to variate the setlists ABIT more? ^^

For the last 2 months i've been listening to various Hullabaloo songs pretty much every day at somepoint. Then i realise it was 11 years ago and i instantly get depressed.

About 4 years ago, why?

Its not a critasism of matts vocals, I just remember being at reading and feeling genuinly amazed at it, maybe I over exaggerated the best vocal ever but definetly my favourite from the TR tour onwards =)

I personally thought he messed bliss up a bit, especially at the falsetto bit =S although bliss at wembley 10 is also a good contender =)

No matter what you think, he hits his highest known chest voice note (Bb4) in Unnatural Selection and in Feeling Good, so no loss of range here. His highest head voice note (C6) does he hit in Hyper Music at Leeds '11 and Agitated at MCM Cafe in '99. Again no loss of range. And at last, not very important, but his lowest note F#2 his hit during an interview last year. So on paper, his range is better than ever. These are facts, rest can be discussed into eternity with no end

I also do think that range can get worse with age but since he has so much better technique now he can compensate for that. It would've been interesting to see how it could've sounded if he had the same technique 10 years ago.

Where does matt do a C6 in hypermusic =S just listened to it and cant hear it any where. Did not know about that agitated scream!! thats amazing! even higher than hey you crazy kids!!!!

maybe during the intro? but i'm sure that this isn't a C6. it is head voice but not this high. in the studio version of hyper music, there is a scream at 2.53 but i didn't notice it at reading.. maybe he did it at leeds, don't know

Half and half theve become more "professional" Arena, and the gear they use has been upped a notch, sound qauilty and the need not to hide behind any distortion gives it away that theve moved on from the 2000-2002 nu metal kinda stuff ,

If you take the likes of Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge, Or kenny from Aussy Band Karnivool they dont need it or use it and still are absoultey amazing live.

check Karnivool out, Sound Awake is one of the best albums Ive heard , better then Muse's last two efforts

I can not find matthew singing that note in US, can you give me the rough time he does it? if its the last prechorus then i always thought that it was serj tarjan(or how he is spelled XD) from system of a down who sings the background vocals there

edit: according to the musewiki its actually matt singing here WOW he sounds unbelievably like the SOAD singer lol well done matt hahahahahaha^^

I love Muse live performances and I think that Matt's voice is equally as beautiful as the songs recorded and live. Absolutely love Matt's voice in the song Bliss Live at Reading 2011.
