it looks like a more entertaining version of Halo's firefight. Spec ops mission "Homeland Security" is one of my favorite video game levels ever. I've accepted COD is ridiculous as shit and I know what I'm buying if i get it.

It looks... the same. Even the interface is exactly the same as MW and MW2. Lazy.

and i think it looks more better than MW2, i mentioned that i didnt like the cartooney look MW2 had. Theres a new engine in this new one, IW 5.0. while some things in the code/engine may stay the same, other parts are being improved upon. honostly as long as it looks better overall than MW2, ill be happy. i dont care for a new engine from the ground up when console's right now are friggin outdated compared to PC. so you cant really do as much for the console as you can for PC. until the next generation console comes out.

This runs on the MW3 engine, which would typically be named IW5 but out of respect of our co-development partners at Sledgehammer games we are simply referring to it as the MW3 engine. It is upgraded from the engine we used in Modern Warfare 2. There have been a lot of advances, mostly in streaming tech to allow us to get the scale of levels we’re doing in Modern Warfare 3 and maintain gameplay consistency with the framerate and smoothness. We’ve got a lot of audio stuff mostly adding situational awareness like bullet wizzbys and other subtle upgrades. A lot of lighting stuff updates as well.
i mean gears of war 3 uses Unreal Engine 3.5 compared to GOW2 which used Unreal engine 3.0. and gears of war 3 graphics look better than the previous game. so other games also upgrade the engines for the new game just like GOW series and it works out fine. Uh i dont know how to do the spoiler thing so uh sorry...but....Unreal Engine 4.0 is being developed for the next generation console, it may come out around 2014 ;D

to be honest, i probably won't buy any on release. Have plenty of old games right now and have a month long winter break thats perfect for a new game or two purchase.
