I've never had a problem with Feeling Good. And I don't remember there ever being any negative reactions to it being played (but I haven't seen Muse since 2007 or something).
I'd rather they played that than Neutron Star Collision or Invincible or something.
I never understood the hate towards Feeling Good.

I like Feeling Good, but like many other people I also don't really understand why they chose to play this song at almost every gig for the last 10 years. Setlist.fm says it's their 9th most played song, and they just have a lot of other, better piano songs that they could play instead.
But I also really feel that they've overplayed TIRO and I don't think I've ever heard anyone else complain about that.

Didn't Feeling Good take a break during the Absolution Tour? I haven't seen setlists from that tour with Feeling Good in it? If so there's other songs (for example, TIRO as you said) that have gotten about as much frequency.
I would like it if they played another piano song more often, but I don't rage whenever Feeling Good comes on. I think they have worse live songs.

Yeah, i think the first time they played it live again after OOS was during the summer of 2006. I saw it for the first time at Leeds Festival but i'm pretty sure they'd played it once or twice before that at European festivals. When i heard them play it for the first time i was really excited, and still a little excited when i heard it for the second time, but by the third time i got a little bored. I was definitely bored of it when i heard it for the 9th time. They seriously need to mix their setlists up more. I haven't seen them since Marlay Park in 2008 and they have their repetitive and predictable setlists to blame for that. I'm not paying out 50 quid to hear Feeling Good AGAIN!!!

Feeling Good was gone for a while, yeah. They should bring another song back from a few years ago, maybe switch it with Feeling Good every so often.

Well considering I've only seen them twice, and only seen Feeling Good once, it's not that bad. And the majority of people who attend the concerts have probably not been to 5 or more Muse gigs, so I never see why some songs get THAT much hate.
Still, I was able to almost entirely predict the setlist for the 2nd gig, with some small surprises like MK Ultra. So I will agree that they need more mixed setlists. But I think everyone's come to an agreement on that.

If they'd played Time Is Running Out once it would have been played too often.

Time is Running Out is not good.

It's the exact opposite of good. It's bad.

That's a shame. Time is running out is the first Muse song I heard from them. ^_^

Concur with the TIRO apathy. I really dislike hearing it, no idea why, it's not because nearly everyone who sort of knows Muse knows that song. I just don't like it that much.
However, I think it works really well live. It might be that I don't hear the song between going to yearly Muse gigs, and therefore it's not been played to overkill, but it's a definite crowd pleaser and a song I like. Just like Feeling Good. I think some people might not like hearing these two live simply because people in the crowd who won't know what song it is when the opening meoldy of RBS or riff of Fury is played are able to rock out to the more well known songs. I think that's a stupid position to hold. I don't like SMBH that much, and don't think it works that well live either, but it's not because of Twilight...some people, I think, want Muse to still be the exclusive band who none of their friends knew about back in '01...

I don't dislike Time Is Running Out because it's overplayed or anything. I hated it the first time I heard it just before Absolution came out. I just don't like it.

When I saw Feeling Good come on I remember the crowd singing along and everything, but I've seen TIRO twice there wasn't much excitement. There was more sing along in Starlight, and more jumping around for New Born, MK Ultra, and Hysteria.
I don't really have a problem with the song, but I don't think its the high point of the gig for anyone.

To be fair, it's definitely one of the best known and enjoyed songs at festivals, purely because festival crowds are more partisan, and more likely to only know the singles. However, the chours is what gets people jumping, every time I've seen it played and regardless of the venue/crowd, so I don't know whether you've had bizarre gigs or what...and it definitely gets more people jumping than Hysteria or MK Ultra (the tempo is just right to jump to which is definitely not the case for Hysteria).

I dislike it not because it is popular but because it is rubbish, boring and completely meaningless. I like some popular songs, like I think Starlight is okay, and Muscle Museum is fucking good. But that doesn't apply to TIRO, and it's probably the worst Muse songs I can think of.

I've never been to a festival yet, but I've always known the area I am seems to be more calm for TIRO than other places. I'm not too sure what happened during Hysteria except that a bunch of people were jumping for the chorus and moving around (which is pretty good for a US gig).
Yes, it is a good single to get the crowd pleased, but what I mean is there's other songs that I've personally seen get a better reaction.

To be completely honest, Starlight makes people go nuts here in Melbourne, Australia. I don't know if its just that everyone recognizes it, but twice i've been in a ridiculous starlight mosh!

It's been the same at the four US gigs I've been to, more-so during the TR era, oddly. I'm not a huge fan of the studio version but live, the song is fantastic, and a lot a fun.

I heard the recording of the concert I went too and wow you could really hear the crowd during Starlight.
I actually quite enjoy it live, but I would prefer it if they played it in the original key. Something about the half step down doesn't work for me. But that's just me.

I think Starlight is the worst song on Black Holes, but during the NYC gig Matt let the crowd sing the first "and our hopes" section and it was the highlight of the night for me. Breathtaking.
