Considering the cuts across the spectrum, NASA hasn't been faced with disproportionate cuts. Considering the gamble inherent in funding space programs, and the potential lack of immediate return, it's great to see that it hasn't been cut further.
Of course there aren't any solid plans to send manned missions anywhere out of LEO purely because the tech isn't available currently. The fiscal 2013 budget had a considerably large shift of funding to 'space technology', which is a rational and sensible thing to do given the position the USA are currently in.
Yes, he cancelled the Constellation program. Funding has also been lightly shifted away from manned mars missions and is now more focused on tech.
I'm honestly on your side of this, space exploration means a lot to me, but I personally feel that the budgeting and cancellations Obama has done are grounded and sensible. He's shifted the focus away from manned missions to the Moon and Mars, but the funding in other areas has in some cases *increased*. I also strongly believe that any other potential presidential candidate of recent years would have done considerably more damage than what Obama's administration has done.
What cuts that Obama has made do you feel were unnecessary? By all means make another thread if you feel strongly about this, as it's certainly deserving of one.
EDIT: The Republican space policy being an 8 page document was something I noticed, and it should set alarm bells ringing for those who want space funding protected.
SECOND EDIT: So long as the James Webb Space Telescope launch is unimpeded then I'll be reasonably happy.

A lot of polls are starting to close, we should begin to get an idea of how this election will go.

This isn't as close as I thought it would be.
MSNBC has just projected Barack Obama as winner.

The Romney campaign is trying to make Ohio seem like Florida in 2000. Romney still hasn't conceded, so it is technically not over. Virginia and Florida still haven't been called yet, but they're leaning Obama. Once those go Obama's way, it will be over.

So wait a sec, he has to concede before it`s over? I hate these miscount scandals. The American presidential election just comes off as such a childish pissing contest.

Now that Obama is elected, what do you expect to see by 2016 that he promised?

It takes all night (or longer) for the all the votes to be counted, but the projected winner becomes more and more obvious before that happens. Generally, the apparent loser concedes before the vote is officially counted because it eventually becomes obvious they won't win, even though the votes haven't all been counted yet. It's less a "childish pissing contest" and more an awkward, sluggish, and outdated system.
Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the results of this election.

Oh hey American won. Nice work, guys.

For a Nobel Peace Prize winner, Obama has a fantastic track record in bombing the shit out of other countries. Still, at least he supports gay marriage eh?!
Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

Thank fuck for that. Obama may not be the perfect candidate, his human rights record is fairly poor and he would need to cut the military budget by at least 99% before he can be considered a good man, but he is a million times better than Romney. Obamacare is pretty much the only thing he's actually achieved so far, but it has given 40million people health insurance, so it's quite a big one.

Didn't Obama win popular vote? Trump has always been a looney. Regardless I'm very pleased. How bout the legalization of marijuana! (In Colorado and Washington)

Yeah, that's pretty good news.
Don't suppose it's going to be an easy road but it's a step forward for sure.

"Prime Minister David Cameron sends his congratulations to Barack Obama, saying together they need to "kick-start the world economy"." - BBC News.
Together? We know what the Bush/Blair bromance led to. That is the worst veiled attempt possible of saying 'please let me back into your life Barack. I need your help.'
(I could put something really funny and intelligent here, but that would just be showing off.)
