I'm so sick of everything that everything Apple does people consider as some sort of revolution, cause I don't think it is... Maybe the first Mac's and the first Iphone were but now it's all trite.

Not sure what i expected for iPad 2. But no new features that makes me want it.
Really? I didn't care for the original iPad, but I'm really considering an iPad 2. I expected the new features. Nothing really ground-breaking, but a very solid improvement.
I guess the whole idea of the iPad just doesn't really sound that interesting to me. My iPhone and my Mac pretty much covers all the features.
It's a cool gadget and if I was rich I'd get one, but I don't think the features justify the price.
That said, I guess it's not just the iPad, it's just the tablet computer in general that doesn't excite my too much.
I'd consider it if I was a book reader and use it for an e-reader with several other features. But I don't read books...
iPad 1 -> iPad 2 was pretty much just an upgrade in the hardware. I think I'm looking for something new in the software to make me consider getting it.

iOS 5 is gonna be DOPE.
The US promptly lost its shit and declared war on the very notion of terrorism, entering into an armed conflict against an abstract concept like only America can.
And after we beat Terrorism, were gonna beat Drugs! Then were going to take on Sadness!

So Mac OS X Lion will be $29.99 available from the Mac App Store. Bargain!

Beats Microsoft's usual £150 for new OS.

I put iOS 5 on my iPhone the other day after Gizmodo ran an article telling you how to do it. Little did I know - rather, Gizmodo failed to mention - that enabling it would make my sim card not work, so I couldn't use the phone part of my PHONE at all.
Aside from that, it looked pretty good. The notification centre is cool, and I think the reminder thing might actually be quick and fluid enough to become the first schedule/reminder type thing worth using.
I'm looking forward to it, but for now I'm back to 4.3.3 :P

hard to say. as soon as Lion is released it'll be on all macs. So the next line of macs should have Lion. I think they update the pros in February though. So you might have to wait till then if you want Lion pre-installed. Otherwise you could just pay the $30 for the update (which I'll do)

I did exactly that as well. Although I didn't even get it working lol. Lost all apps and music when I had to do restore.... Quite annoying

It probably will since OS X Lion comes out in July. Apple announced free upgrades to Lion for any Macs bought between now and the release.

It's pretty nice. I like the additions, and how the 'natural scrolling' is able to be turned off.
Sure, it's natural on touchscreens, but not on my MacBook that I've been using for some years now. That is the only addition I do not like. There are a lot of added additions that seem very nice, even though it was early criticized for 'dumbing-down' the operating system by making it more like iOS.
To be honest, it's good. I can't believe they didn't have more full-screen applications since the beginning - more notably the browser. That was very odd that it wasn't included from the beginning.
The newly added animations and way of scrolling through things are nice. But like I said, I took off the 'natural scrolling' - it's a mouse/trackpad, not a touchscreen device.
Besides that, the overall system performance seems a tad bit more laggy, but not too noticeable. Not enough to overshadow the positive of changes. Hopefully they fix this in a future update.

I've had Lion for a few weeks. And I am really liking it.
First the bad things:
- I have some compatibility issues. My Parallels Desktop isn't working anymore, which is really crucial for my studies. Also some of my games aren't working anymore.
- The new show desktop and launchpad hand gestures are completely messed up. I never use them if I can avoid them.
- I'm not a huge fan of the mission control and the "opposite" hand gesture which shows all windows of the app you currently have open. Mission control is fine, but I'd like the opposite hand gesture to show all windows open in this desktop rather than only the ones from the current app.
Then the good things:
- I am absolutely in love with the new spaces. How easy it is with a single motion to scroll from desktop to desktop. I find it extremely useful and a really easy way to manage lots of windows and lots of apps. I usually leave one app per desktop.
- That leads to the second good thing. Full screen apps are just brilliant. I use it for pretty much any app I can. It'll be even more brilliant in the future when more apps develop better full screen support. Like right now, RockMelt does support full screen, but it's not too great, cause it hides the whole top part with the URL, tabs and bookmarks. They're working on a better full screen experience and once it's out, I'm sure it'll be great as well.
- Natural scrolling. I didn't exactly like this in the beginning. I turned it off almost instantly. However, when I started using spaces more, I kept going to the wrong space, cause there it seemed more convenient with the natural scrolling way. So I tried turning it back on, and now I actually quite like the idea of my trackpad being a touch screen.
- Launchpad is nice for those apps you don't want to keep in your dock cause you only use them like once a month. For that it's quite useful. But otherwise I don't use it.
Overall I think it's a great update. Spaces alone was worth the update for me.

Yeah microsoft has gotta do something pretty amazing for us PC users. Windows 8 better be better than previous versions and come cheap, im fine with even $50. but i doubt microsoft will do such a thing. it would be nice to be a new Operating System for like $30 instead of me pirating it for my other computer.

iPhone 5 expected early October
Perfectly timed for my contract upgrade too, I might add. I'm looking forward to it. Here's hoping there's no major cunt-ups like the iPhone 4 antenna situation.

I think we'll be looking at a release date around mid-October

The later in October the better, actually. It would give me time to save a little more. As much as I like Apple announcement-then-release ASAP way of doing things, it kind of fucks over those of us who don't have much money. I'll hopefully get it cheaper if I sign up to another contract, but either way it's going to be a lot of money to magic out of nowhere.

I think my contract is up soonish. I will have to be investing in an iPhone 5 I feel.

The Australian telcos seem to give you the option to just pay more each month and get the phone for free. So no saving up needed. And I think they actually don't even charge extra for that.

i wonder if ATT will keep the same data plans for the iphone 5, i mean they have to give more data for less money because if its true that the iphone5 is gonna be on sprint, you could pay $70 a month for unlimited EVERYTHING, thats pretty cheap for a monthly iphone bill if you think about it. im sure many people will switch to that company, and they arnt bad either.
