Yeah, but the bands that play there are usually more inclined towards the indie crowd. Like proper indie. Muse don't seem the type of band to play it. | ||||||||||

^ Gallows played there last year and The Ghost of a Thousand are playing there this year... I wouldn't really say they fit the indie bill either?

This is true. I seem to recall Genghis Tron playing there aswell. But it generally seems to be indie types, with a sprinkling of other things, none of whom are particularly mainstream. It just doesn't seem like Muse's crowd. | ||||||||||

I'd say Reading and Leeds festival over here are (a collectively) predominantly indie festival too, yet when you look at past headliners, there's always been an "alternative" one thrown in as well, so as to appeal to a wider audience... So perhaps Muse have been billed for a similar reason? It would be pretty awesome for anyone able to make it!

This past week we did get unofficial official word on two biggie SXSW headliners. Muse and the Stone Temple have both made arrangements to play the festival with STP playing the Austin Music Hall on Thursday night. They will be debuting tracks from their upcoming new album as well.
