It definitely is. It's by no means a 'Twilight' copy; if you wanted to compare it to something else on television, I'd say that it's more of a True Blood for the younger set. The storylines are fresh, character arcs are believable, and it's one of the rare shows on tv in which things are actually at stake, if that makes sense. You actually care about what happens to the characters.
It may start a bit slow, but the show is for sure a solid emotional investment.

It's bloody awesome it starts slow but thats just to set things up. It's NOT TWILIGHTand it's become my favourite show at the moment. The characters are great and it's got a really good pace to it.

I thought the new episode was pretty cool  Damon  (I really need to stop saying that)
I don't find Bonnie that annoying anymore and the whole thing with Jeremy is really cute. Tyler hasn't really got my full emotional attention, I can't say I feel sorry for him, having to go through all the pain. maybe later..

Great episode a few twists i didn't see coming Stefan being stuck in the tomb with Katherine and Elijah wanting to keep Elena safe ? Looking forward to Tylers transformation plus Damon was awesome as usual

I think Vampire Diaries is wondrous vampire show in television world and I'm massive fan of this show. I like it's whole story line and cast. More important part is it's direction. This show's creation is very attractively.

We have to wait until 27th january for the next episode.
The last episode was ok can't believe the cave scene was a dream such a let down. Loved tylers scenes he really stole the episode, really good acting. I was hoping for more Damon + Elena action. I thought the scenes with Elijah were cool too.

Yes!! I fucking love episodes when Damon cries; they make me love him about a million times more.
Plus, Caroline's "Everyone just needs to stop kissing me!" line was classic.

I agree. Damon's final talk to Elena, followed by his drunk confession to a random girl were pretty epic. Damon really makes this series for me. Without him, I doubt I'd still be watching really. The rest of the episode was sorta weak imo, but maybe that's because of the break we had, je ne sais pas..

Mendi, I one hundred percent agree with what you said about Damon. The funny thing is, he shot a ton of episodes this season while he had walking pneumonia. The most recent episode was the last one before he got better, thankfully!
