Is Big Day Out a festival? I think they probs won't; I assume that they will want an orchestra to do it full justice...although saying that they performed part 1 throughout the tour...who knows?

^well.. as far as i know it's a one-day-travelling-festival?
but yea. who knows.
i got a friend from australia who's an exchange student here in denmark. i introduced her to muse and she's completely fallen in love with them now. she's coming back to australia the day after bdo is in her city.. gutted :P
on the other hand. if muse decide to go back to australia next winter (summer there!), i might go for a visit and team it up with a muse gig
|

Yeah it's a festival, Muse are headlineing, kasabian and The Mars Volta are also confirmed. My English friend who lives in Australia is a huge muse fan but she won't go to the BDO because a crowded festival in the middle of summer in Oz is not the best idea!
Now that nights closing in
And in the half light
We run
Lock us up safe
And hide the key
But the night tears us loose
And in the half light
Were free
Andy is awesome!!

They opened with MK? That's cool, would've loved to be there, I'm sure it was a great opener. Good to see they've changed things up at least a little bit!

and @Teamy, I think deadstar666 makes a valid point. even though it might be back for the stadium next year and for the next few years. I think it'll be one of the first to be dropped once Resistance era is over and a new album is out. so still a good thing imo
Oh, yeah, I get a feeling that it'll go the way of Invincible and Sing for Absolution - the singles that were dropped after the tours were over.
I hope Resistance does well in the charts. But we have to remember that Undisclosed did badly mostly because it just wasn't released physically. Who the hell would buy a download single with no b-sides if you've already got the album (which the entire Muse fanbase does)?
They cocked the release up badly. It was a seriously stupid move on whoever decided to do a download only.

there's a full list of the sets in the first post
Turin was the last gig of the european tour. They've only played a few american gigs since. All the gigs have been part of a bigger show, meaning they've had short sets of about 11 songs. No new songs have been played thus far

What happened with the band I loved? *facepalm*
Now I am listening their bootleg from Pinkpop 2002 and I don't wanna see their new gigs... What the fuck?
After every gig I with the hope watch setlist and realise that all my hopes are turned to dust...

God dayum! AMAZING jam played before US! Is this a cover, or their own?
Whatever it was, I want it for the US leg of the tour.

Have you watched the actual performances? While the setlists remain quite similar, the performances themselves are mind-blowing, and vary largely between different performances of the same songs.

Is that a new riff, did I miss something? Reminds me of the Megadeth one they did before....Hangar 18? I don't recognize this one, but it sounds great.

Nice setlist, i like how they've put Resistance a little further forward in the setlist, gives the middle section a little kick in momentum

I'm not a massive fan of the song, but it looks damn epic.
