Refused - The Apollo Program Was A Hoax
Blinding album (like, top twenty ever for me) that redefined what Hardcore Punk was all about, and influenced many bands - an influence that is still seen to this day, I think. It sets out with a simple declaration ("They say the classics never go out of style, but they do") and then systematically destroys the Hardcore/Punk by numbers rule book, completely changing the idea of what a Hardcore record should be. The final track, "The Apollo Program Was A Hoax", is a deceptively moving and uncharacteristically sombre climax to an album that at it's heart is a punk record, but one that incorporates elements of jazz, emo, and dance along the way.
Fantastic experimental album. Give it a listen if you're in any way interested in heavy music.

It doesn't really sound like anything else on the album.
New Noise is the most famous song they ever did, and a staple at rock clubs all over the country (and I assume the world) so you'll probably have heard it before.
Tannhauser/Derive is a personal favourite.
Anyone who has any interest in punk, hardcore, or heavier music in general owes it to themself to listen to the album in full.
