Housing lottery numbers went up today to pick out dorms for next year. My housing group got number one. Which means we get our pick of apartments. Which means we get a huge suite with singles for all four of us. YAY!

I was taking a break from studying in the library at around 6pm. Got a coffee, sat on a bench in the warm sunshine, watching a frisbee match, listening to Radiohead, surrounded by people just relaxing on the grass.
Nothing exciting but I was just so happy to be sitting there. The first time I've been relaxed in the last few weeks and probably the last til exams are over. It was such a great half hour.

i bought tickets to both lollapalooza and pitchfork in chicago, the two big festivals, and their lineups really dissapointed me. But now that i check out all the bands i didn't know on the lineup, i realize its all the bands i've been meaning to check out forever and heard their songs and loved them
Now both festivals lineup's are amazing to me.
Metric, Grizzly Bear, Mutemath, Broken Social Scene, Dirty Projectors, ect ect ect.
And deadmau5 just announced a STADIUM gig in chicago! im gonna dance my ass off.
This summer is looking musically great. And mostly thanks to Canada.

I saw a production of King Richard III tonight, and the entire thing was scored to Radiohead instrumentals. Seeing Clarence and Rivers killed to string arrangements of My Iron Lung and Just (Do It To Yourself)? Brilliant. Definitely put a huge smile on my face.

I'd say this summer for me it's mainly the UK doing it for me:
Muse, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Kasabian. Seeing 'em at Roskilde along with Miike Snow from Sweden, The Kissaway Trail from Denmark and The Temper Trap from Australia... Those are the 7 big names in my book at this summer's festival
Then there's some other's which will prolly be quite good aswell:
Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, When Saints Go Machine and Kashmir. All from Denmark. Kings of Convenience from Norway...
Should be a good summer...Especially Muse and Gorillaz
