:O That's insane. My uni's blocked all the torrent trackers except a few so when you're downloading it doesn't find all the seeds which makes it normally slow. Saying that, it's still fairly fast!

Well, just the implications of a child saying she loves a 20 year old guy and what parents would think etc. Things like that are very awkward and blown out of all proportion.

Ah, my uni tries to do that too. They put a 6 GB bandwidth cap on any internet traffic outside of the university network. Except, some people at my campus created a P2P torrent site that you can only access when you're on campus. You download and upload only to people within the campus network, which means no bandwidth cap, and insanely fast speeds. I think my uni is turning a blind eye to it, otherwise they'll have to pay for a lot more bandwidth for traffic leaving the network. I love the internet.

yeah, southampton are being a bit arsey about it but i can't help think that they can't be bothered really. We can get on pirate bay and sites like that by using any old proxy website so that's nice and easy. In all, they're lazy!
