Rosol is a fucking animal.
First time ever at Wimbledon. Ranked around 100. Lowest ranked player to ever beat nadal.
Returning shots at 95mph, for the entirety of a 5 set game.
Unbelievable.

I didn't see the Nadal match, I forgot it was on and I expected him to win this easily! What happened?!

I hope Murray is next to lose, I don't like him and watching his matches on the BBC is horrible.

Watching any sport on the bbc is horrible if it involves the British. Fair play and all but it's quite nauseating.

^ Agreed, it's a shame there are so many Brits in F1, they get all the interview time.

I just saw an interview with Nadal: "it's not a tragedy, it's just a tennis match. I lost." . It's brilliant in his Spanish accent.

Congratulations to Andy Murray for finally making it into the Wimbledon final! I would have liked either man to go through, Murray because I think he deserves it after so much hard work (and 'cause he's a Brit) and Tsonga because he's a brilliant player and an all-round top guy. I'd rather both of them were in the final but, alas, the seeding hasn't made that possible.

Still, glad Federer beat Djokovic. Not a huge Federer fan but I'd rather he go through. Djokovic is just bloody boring. And he's been using the Hawk Eye challenge system to claw his way back into points he would otherwise have lost, which has pissed me off.

So happy to see Jonny Marray and Freddie Nielsen win in the men's doubles, although I must admit that it's a shame that there aren't many leading men's singles players who take part in the doubles tournament. As Nielsen himself said, the singles tournament is a lot more attractive financially etc.

Well theres the money but also there's the fact that the men have to play a lot more tennis during the year so they can't afford to expend energy playing in the doubles as that would have an effect on their singles matches. Women only play 2 sets so look at the Williams sisters they can go out smash out 2 quick sets go have a rest then come back and have a doubles match the same day.

Pff, as much as I hate to say it, Federer played bloody well today. Feel sorry for Murray, but at least he made it to the final. Although I don't like the way the points system has worked out for Federer. Nadal and Djokovic have all eight of the last grand slams, four apiece, but Federer still goes back to number one. I know all the idiotic Federer fans out there who make inane comments like 'Federer is just the best, end of' (or some the comments on this video like 'who would dare tell Federer to be quiet?' and all those other cunts who think swearing at an umpire is acceptable - sorry about the rant, his fans just get on my nerves) will disagree and go on about how he's always deserved to be number one, but I really don't think he's the top player in tennis right now. And that's not just because I don't like him. Hey, I think Djokovic is even more of a prick but he deserves the number one spot.

Federer has reached at least the quarter finals of all Grand Slams since Wimbledon 2004, so he is still very good, even though he hadn't won a Grand Slam for some time. And I don't know exactly how the points system works, but I believe the ATP tournaments count too, and Federer has probably won and/or played more of those. I agree Djokovic seems like the better player, but he wasn't this tournament and he's only 75 points behind.

I'm not a Federer fan, but I did want him to win today. And in the end, he was the better player. It's a shame the rain interrupted the match, they looked equal in the first two sets, after that Federer just got better. Murray is getting closer to Nadal/Federer/Djokovic, but he's not there yet.

It's got something to do with the fact that he went out in the quarters last year. Apparently the points system depends on a comparison between the present tournament and the same tournament the year before. Because he went out 'early'-ish last year and won it this year he gets a load of points. I don't quite understand it all but apparently that's how it works.

Yeah, I'm not denying that he's one of the greatest players around, but the current rankings aren't representative. Again, Djokovic and Nadal have the last eight grand slams between them. Bit silly how that works out.

They compare with last years tournaments? Somehow that makes sense because you can see how much a player has improved, but it's also weird, because then Nadal will look really good next year at Wimbledon . In that case the system is stupid.

The rankings system in tennis is quite peculiar, and because Federer did quite poorly in the tournaments towards the end of last season, he'll improve his ranking points with ease now and hold onto the number 1 spot for a while now.

Yeah, and because Djokovic and Nadal have won/come runner up in their last load of grand slams, they won't be able to keep up. Federer basically has a load of points to gain and those two have a load of points to lose. Bit shite, that. Especially knowing that Federer fans will be all fucking smug about it, the cunts.

To be fair, Federer did completely outclass Murray after the 1st set.

It was a masterclass from him, a deserved winner.

My sympathies. Never mind.

On topic, I was a bit disappointed with the way in which Federer won.. would have preferred if the ball had come off his racket. But still, it was amazing to see him return to top form. I hope he wins next year too.

Federer was the better player. And I read up on how the points system works and it is quite intriguing at least. I would prefer every player start at 0 at the end of the year, starting with who was #1, #2, and so on at the end of the previous year for the beginning of year rankings.
