Not really a book, although...
I'm planning on locking myself up for a day and read Keats's Endymion. I want to grasp its beauty (I've already read stanzas separately) to the fullest, so are there any tips you guys could give me. Things to look out for, background information, etc.
Thanks.

1984 for my history book report.

Amazing book.
Currently reading The Salmon of Doubt by Douglas Adams, hillarious, as his other work is. Then I'll be reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series which I recently bought in English. Read it in Swedish twice, but I think it's time to read it as it was written!
...And then I said; Oatmeal, are you CRAZY?!

You should read Animal Farm, it's brilliant!
Atm I'm reading biographies of Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Kurt Cobain. Jimi Hendrix's was really good
I'm thinking of reading War of the Worlds again, but I've lost the book It's so good.
EDIT: The Animal Farm film isn't the same as the book, it's still good though

I'm actually reading three different books at the moment :P 1984 for english lit. class, "En rekke avbrutte forsøk" for my norwegian-project and The lost symbol for fun.
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

I've been meaning to read The Lost Symbol, is it any good?

I haven't even reached page 100 yet, but it seems good so far It's very Dan Brown, if that makes any sense.
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but the German edition

Ugh, it's okay. If you liked other books by Dan Brown, you'll like The Lost Symbol. If you haven't read The Da Vinci Code, etc., I'd stay away. It's a bit of a clunky read, and the characters are rather dull/shallow.

I know no-one else who agrees with me that Nineteen Eighty-Four isn't actually that good. Okay, to be fair, part I is veeeery good as an opener. But parts II and III just didn't click with me. I find Orwell's writing really plain, he seemed to be repeating the same things over and over again, and Julia and Winston are just flat characters. I found no way to connect with them and I didn't find them convincing, really...
Anyway, moving on. Just finished The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë. Going to try Crime and Punishment next.

Well actually for 1984 I did think there were parts that weren't so great. Where it was pretty much Golsteins book and had everything I already knew summed up. But I think for it's time it was a brilliant book!
But then it wasn't as good as Animal Farm.

Yeah the ideas weren't bad at first, but eventually they were just repeated over and over...
And yes, I prefer Animal Farm. Although again, it could've been quite a lot shorter, as it was predictable what was going to happen in the end. But I found it much more enjoyable.
