I thought this would be a good idea for all the musicians on the site. I mean im pretty sure all of you guitar players don't play ONLY Muse and nothing else.
So basically the idea is any tab requests, or questions about technique or effects etc (you know the drill) on songs for any other bands apart from Muse, will go here.
I don't know what the mod's will think of this but I personally thought it was a good idea. So go for it...

Good idea, I'll ask first.
How the soapy wet vagine does Tom Morello, and for that matter anyone, play the Township Rebellion solo? I just can't do it 
I should maybe just wait until I'm better at guitar then try it...

I can't play it myself. Then again I havent really tried. Technically it isnt that difficult, but the speed is the obvious issue. As lame as it sounds I think that old P RACTIC word comes into play mainly. :P

Yeah I can play it really slowly. And I mean really slowly. My right hand is too slow too keep up with my left... which is weird because it's usually the other way around, I just can't get them in sync at any speed... ah well. Practice makes perfect, eh? :P

He uses a harmoniser to get that tone, and you need a tremelo arm for certain

Yeah I've got a whammy so the tone isn't the problem... it's just the speed/rhythm.

Come to think of it I have one.
Does anyone know how to get that cool wah effect on the 4 6, 5 7 bit on Dakota. Im sure he used extra distortion or something because a wah pedal on its own doesnt seem to do the job.

actually most people find that their right hand is slower than left. its easy to do legato as the left hand can maintain speed but to have a fast right hand with good technique playing multiple strings.. then the right hand struggles to keep up.
try playing the hysteria solo VERY fast.. i mean shred fast. you'll find that you're left hand finds it easier than your right.

I hit this wall a while ago. I find accuracy at speed with the right hand to be really difficult at the moment. Anyone have any good songs or exercises for building this up?

the riff at the beggining is PERFECT for getting left and right hand together.
also... try spider exercises. they are a bit boring though.
