The Knights of Cydonia -- as pictured on the album cover of Black Holes and Revelations.

Surely its the four horsemen of the apocalypse on the album cover? http://www.musewiki.org/Black_Holes_and_Revelations_%28album%29

Muse added Christchurch to their New Zealand playlist as they're keen to check out the scenery and as a response to the loads of requests on their internet message board over the years from Cantabrians.

They actually listen to us?!

~screenager~ :It's quite a lot more complicated than that, but if you're not prepared to look any further into it then that's your choice. Frankly it would be difficult to write several hundred pages based solely on "they benefited so they must have done it".

I've looked into it too much for my own sanity to be honest. When I first heard about the 9/11 conspiracies I was quite intrigued by them, and was close to believing them simply because at the time I didn't think it was possible that SO many alleged facts could be wrong. But when you start to do actual research, all of their "evidence" just all falls apart like the twin towers themselves!. The ones who are not prepared to 'look any further into it' are the ones who end up as the believers, because they ignore the actual information instead of thinking critically at it all equally.

Its nice to believe in a cause, it makes you feel powerful to know something that "they don't want you to know!". If only it was harmless. The problem is it discourages the scientific method and ignores the real problem, fundamentalism.

While I don't respect your opinion, I appreciate it ;-). But I would hope you would follow your own advice and be "prepared to look any further into it" by clicking many of the links on the following page.

Included on it are 6 fact-based videos.

I've seen a few of those already, I'll take a look at the others later on. But like I said, what convinced me wasn't any of the badly-informed semantics about how the towers fell or Building 7 or any of that, but the question of how it was able to happen despite all the precautions in place.

I watched the BBC programme when it was aired and it made me really annoyed, because it didn't go into anything like the war games, it just pointed out the glaring holes in Loose Change, which everyone knows is utter rubbish.

I agree, that BBC show had such a good opportunity to show what it all really is yet they blew it by focusing on sole nutjobs like Alex Jones and saying "hey, if he's stupid, they're all stupid!".. instead of actually going through each conspiracy claim bit by bit and explaining why they are wrong.

But about the warnings etc, all of it is VERY easily explained by incompetence. Conspiracy theorists are right when they say the government doesn't release info because they have things to hide. Where they lose their respectability is when they say its because the government are evil masterminds, when infact its because they are stupid & incompetent and if they released all the info, they would have to be held accountable for the mistakes made.

Conspiracy believers aren't stupid, they've just been drastically mis-lead and there aren't enough people around trying to show them the actual facts. There was a fascinating blog by a former believer-turned-skeptic but I don't seem to have the link , I'll post it if I find it.

I'm really enjoying this conversation for some reason lol. Oh wait, this thread is supposed to be about Bellamy isn't it... YEHAW!! There we go.

What you've said is very true. Though to say "the government are evil masterminds" is overdramatic and over-simplistic.
They're uber-capitalists looking out for their interests. They are the upper class of a country that has doesn't seem to have much regard for the lives of those who disagree with its economic and political values. You seem like a politically-aware guy, I'm sure you can think of as many examples as I can of violent US-sponsored revolutions. They have no problem lying to the electorate to get what they want: think Gulf of Tonkin.

Yes, incompetence. At the very least, it was unbelievable incompetence. At the very most, it was a deliberate failure to prevent the attacks or at least lessen their impact. I think the reality lies somewhere between complacency and complicity; only time will tell just where - for now there's not enough evidence to base it on.

I think 'non-believers' and conspiracy theorists are too quick to dismiss each other as gullible sheep. Sure, a lot of the theories are wank, but governments never tell the whole truth about something as big as this, but it would be naive to say that that in itself is evidence that they were behind it.

Maybe not. He did say (after mentioning different conspiracies) that he prefers conspiracies that stick to the facts.
