Hm, I'll try re-encoding it with flac 1.2.1 later (just came out) and seeing whether it works in vlc then.

Edit:
Appears to be a bug in VLC, but it only affects MC above level 6 compression (). If you download flac, put MC in your root (C:/), open a command line window and type

flac Muse* -6 -o newfile.flac

That should work. Or you could wait for VLC 0.9.0
