Jesus he was shocking today, shocking earlier in the season. He is riddled with blunder.

Only seen the highlights of today's match.
Think we've been watching different games mate. Really don't know where you're coming from. He was our best defender this season until he got injured. Then Rio stepped up.

I thought United's defending for a lot of the goals were simply Arsenal like. Shambolic.

Probably Evans.
Still entertaining for the neutral although nobody is ever neutral when United is involved.
Evans has been great this season, along with Rio.
All defenders were culpable, mainly Buttner (who was a winger until two seasons ago) who has the positional awareness of a crisp packet in a gale.
Fun game though.
Spurs unlucky, but their own doing.

No drama then. Newcastle were awful. Never looked like scoring. Ben Arfa is the greediest cunt I've ever seen. Worse than Robben & Sturridge put together. Gives the ball away for fun.
Arhh tell me about it. He's a twat ain't he. I lost count of how many times he tried to drive the ball between 3 or 4 players. 3 or 4 players who make up the best away defense in the league as well. You could literally see his team mates pleading for the ball. I didn't care for either side yesterday, but he even had me screaming at the TV.

Another so close season for so close Tottenham. What an infuriating club. Really thought they'd do this year. To be fair though Arsenal are a much better team. There was only ever going to be one goal scorer for Spurs today. They'd be mid fucking table without him.
Just a joke of a club. Piss it away every time. Indeed, Arsenal are a much better team overall, but it was in Tottenham's hands, again. And they bottled it, again.
Cracking strike by Bale, but jesus, it's such basic poor defending.

The problem with Spurs is that they assume the spot is theirs......in February. Bale claimed Spurs were a much better team and that they'd finish above Arsenal. To be honest, Spurs should have wrapped up fourth place weeks a go. But this being Arsenal's worst season and Spurs' best season says it all. Look whats happened. And they call themselves a bigger club than Arsenal.
It happens every year. And every year, whilst Spurs are celebrating their champions league qualification....in February.... Arsenal are focused on getting that top four place. Egg is well and truly on every spurs fan's face.

Every year its the same, Spurs above us in the table "the tide's turning, North London is white, we've over taken Arsenal as the bigger club." It's the bitterness between the two sets of fans that really causes all of this. As soon as one gets success over the other, it's immediately "we're better lololol." Thats from Arsenal and Spurs fans too!
I've honestly never met a Spurs fan who thinks Arsenal are still the dominant and bigger club in North London, ever.

Arsenal are the bigger club, but I would argue that Spurs were better this season, they just Hotspurred all over the place towards the end of the season, in true Spurs fashion.

How were Tottenham better this season? Bale won them so many points. Literally won more points than anyother player. (maybe joint with RVP actually) They'd be no where without him. Collectively Arsenal are a much better team. Plus they always get raped by injuries and still manage to finish above Spurs. And that's the key factor, Arsenal finished above them, so evidently they were better.

Looks like Bale is going to sign a new contract at Spurs. Interesting one for me this. Have to commend his loyalty as he could have gone to any club in the world this summer. But the problem Spurs have now is can he replicate or improve on this season? If he gets injured or doesn't play as well his value will go down and they will be kicking themselves for not selling him for silly money.

Think I read that he will have a £50m buyout clause though, which works for both player and club. Looks like he's bound to be going (most likely to Spain) but next summer.

Aye, £50M and between £130-170,000 a week (papers haven't quite made their mind up yet.).
Seems a little pointless if he's just going to leave next summer though.

If it's a 50m clause, could, in theory, still go this summer, just ascertaining a minimum price.
But more likely one last push, before he jumps ship.

Problem is Levy is as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm and they are trying to pay off this new stadium they're building so the team will have no significant investment this summer and so it will fall on Bale's shoulders once again to get them Champions League football and in my opinion it just won't happen. £50 million these days is only enough for one marque signing so they're idiots really as they could have got silly money this season for him and strengthen the entire team instead of just having one superstar and that would have helped them much more than keeping Bale an extra season.
