I think the Vidic loss will be important, mainly because it means that utterly average cunt Evans will cost us more matches. Another thing I find surprising is the fact I want Anderson back asap, go figure.Anyway, meh Thursdays it is. I still don't believe teams who get knocked out of the CL should get to play but whatever, it's done now.
The Lyon match sounded impressive.
Now that is truly eyebrow raising. Anderson is decent at best, and that's on his day.
Vidic is out for several months, which means our season is officially over and City are the Champions.
Im gonna wait until Cleverley comes back and gets a good run of games, and if were still not performing; then i'll jump on the bandwagon and say we need a new quality Midfielder.
Some people have well and truly hit the self destruct button and gone well over the top about last night tho. Paticually some of the pundits which is suprising.

I find the reasoning behind it hard to believe too, maybe because he has started scoring now he seems better than in the past. Dunno really.

Ferdinand is well past it and Evans is worse than Titus Bramble and that's saying a lot! If you think losing Vidic isn't going to affect your season in a negative way your clueless.

Vidic is injured? At least you can now defend against decent attackers without embarrassment.

Well of course it is, I'm not an idiot. However it is is idiotic to say the season is over when there's still 5 months of football to play.

What an odd person, I know it was funny when Liverpool finished 7th. Hell funny, but I still would of loved it more if they finished lower.

United will finish in the top 2, no doubt about it.
I find it stupid when people immediately assume so early on in the season that it's game, set and match.
I mean, look at Arsenal. Everyone was talking about how we're fucked, no chance of European football of any kind next season, and now look at us. 5th, 2 points behind Chelsea. Haven't lost in the last 7 PL games. 6/7 wins.
City go to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge (I think) on Monday, which will be difficult. City haven't looked particularly amazing in the last two or three games, and Chelsea at home is always a difficult task.
United aren't awful, I fully expect them to beat Wolves this weekend. They aren't a one man team, and if it's that bad, then Fergie has the resources to bring some one in during the next transfer window.
It's December. Come March/April, we'll have a clearer look at who's got the title this year.

Really? I don't think they will, depending on injury lists.
I think it'll be City that take the title, Arsenal 2nd, Chelsea/United 3rd and 4th.
Whatever United do, City will do 5 times better with the cash they have.
City's squad seems to function pretty well too, United looked lost against Basel.

More like, Liverpool could have easily beaten you, had their team learnt how to shoot :P
Also, Norwich? Try beating Chelsea at the Bridge 5-3!

Thing is, I can see City beating Chelsea at the Bridge 5-0 at the rate they're going at...
Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

I think Chelsea are just about finding their feet. Obviously it's the worst time to play the league leaders though! But I wouldn't write Chelsea off completely. They beat Valencia 3-0, and Valencia are still a very good team.
It'll certainly be interesting, and great for me, if they draw I'm happy, if Chelsea get pummeled, I can laugh at Chelsea, and if City lose I can laugh at City. It's a win-win!

I can see Arsenal being the dark horse though. Some players they've been linked to and RVP's form seems immense.
Chelsea seem to struggling playing the way they do, winter clearout should fix that.
City, well they may aswell buy the trophy.
United need to recover asap or its gonna be more than 5 points away.

The thing with Arsenal is if RVP gets injured, then we won't have any real, main fire power. Chamakh, Arshavin, Walcott, and to a lesser extent Gervinho don't provide the same quality of cover that we need. They aren't consistent enough. We need a second 5* quality striker like RVP.
This doesn't make Arsenal a one man team though, despite how it sounds haha, we'll probably get a top four spot if he does get injured, but with him, 3rd place is certainly not that far away.
But as I said, come March, we'll have a better look at how things are gonna end. ANYTHING can happen during the January transfer window, and as December's so packed with fixtures, January too (Remember, City have a two legged Semi Final AND an FA Cup game vs United to play in) so anything could happen in the next month or two. We'll just have to wait and see!

People need to stop reading so much into results this early in the season. Teams go on shitty runs, teams go on good runs, players get injured (Arsenal will be hoping that's not true), and teams can have bad luck. Take Celtic for an example. A few weeks ago we drew 0-0 at home to Hibernian. Everyone was screaming about how the title was over, how Celtic are terrible and Rangers are brilliant and so on.
Now? Celtic are only 4 points behind, and there are three Old Firm games to go. Just shows you how quickly football can change. All it takes is one slip from City and United could be back within two points. Or another slip from United and City are seven or eight points clear.
You can make an educated guess at who's going to be the champion, but it'll never be anything more than that: a guess.

Not really though.
RVP's scored just under half of our total PL goals. He scores because of the service he gets, not all of his goals have been a one man effort.
Demba Ba has scored half of Newcastle's goals this season. Does that make Newcastle a one man team, too?

Thats harsh. Since the City game Rio has been solid. Despite the defeat the other night, his personal performance vs Basel was fantastic. That fact was also emphasised by Fergie in his most recent press conference.

Well with Podolski strongly rumoured that could be the missing piece. Gotze would be epic at Arsenal too.
Also Ferdinand is well past it, has been for some time. He was a class defender back in the day but he should have been sold last season maybe?
United need a strong new defender. Subotić would be a nice addition.
