Cech has been pretty lame ever since his injury, basically.

Yeah Cech was one of if not THE best keeper in the world but ever since that horrible injury he has been slowly declining.

He hasn't been the same since. He's still a very good keeper, but he was damn near impregnable before Stephen Hunt ran into his head.

Well he's not half the keeper now.
I mean, apart from the two tap in's (Van Persie's 1st & 2nd goals) every other goal resulted in Cech getting beat at the near post.

I've been very impressed with Newcastle this season. They're really surprised me. I hope they can keep going. I'd like to see them and Tottenham challenge for third, fourth and fifth.

Not a chance they will keep it going. They're playing really well but after xmas their form will drop (like many teams have done in the past) and god help their manager when they do. Newcastle fans are very demanding and now they have had dreams of champs league put in their heads they won't want to settle for Mid table.

I tend to agree with Jamie, it wont last. However they are a big club and if they ever fuck Ashley off they could easily become contenders for Europe again.
After losing Nolan, Carrol, Barton and Enrique I thought they were screwed but Ba and Cabaye have been class, plus they still have Arfa to get fully up and running yet.

Yeah a lot of players have stepped up to the mark since the summer departures. Jose Enrique leaving has been a blessing in disguise for Ryan Taylor; who's been great.

After a horrible start, I'm finally beginning to climb the table. I've moved up three or four places in the last two weeks, so things are looking up. I had terrible luck with injuries, players not getting games, suspensions etc... so I think that's my rough patch out the way. Now, Silva and Van Der Vaart are just raping. I'd quite like Rooney and Aguero to start getting goals again though. That would really help :P
