Who lives in Liverpool? Tried to get a ticket for the Utd game - obviously close to impossible. So I find out that Liverpool are coming up to play Rangers at Ibrox, and i've got Liverpool fans to go with.... and it's sold out. My only hope is now to go to the Liverpool ticket office (at Anfield) to collect a returned ticket. Not possible.

Gay as hell.

There's real hatred in this match. Alot of it gets papered over, but it's fierce, proper hatred, I really, really hate the scousers.

El Classico is the biggest 'derby' game, obviously.
There's also El Superclasico (Boca Juniors v River Plate), the Mexican El Superclassico, (Guadalajara v Americas). Palmeiras v Corinthians is a very big deal.
The Milan derbies and the Old Firm also get a nod.

Biggest in the world no.
Biggest in England...quite likely.

I lived in Brasil for 2 years as a Corinthians fan and I can tell you that that fixture is fucking massive indeed, as are the SPFC games.

Most entertaining is debatable.
El Clasico, with the drama has been good recently (but you have to remember, 10-15 years ago, tops, Madrid didn't give half a shit about Barca, the biggy was Atletico.

United v Liverpool always seems to have fireworks though, even when the teams are shit, it's a game.

Fucked off I'm missing it tomorrow due to an early hockey game .
And my housemate has just got a ticket in the L'pool end, off his mate....cunt. Although I don't reckon I could restrain myself in the scouse ends.

My Grandma once sat in the United seats at Old Trafford for a Liverpool game and she went fucking mental for both of our goals, my Granddad said he was scared for his life.

It's insane.
I was there for the Berb's bicycle kick winner (better than Rooney's), bedlam, people falling over me, mum on arse in row infront, random people just going sick and celebrating with me.
I expect it's no different in L'pool.

The only time the atmosphere at Old Trafford is any good :P

But it's still nothing compared to an Old Firm game, sorry. I might be biased but I'm also totally right

Ridiculous statement initially.
Second one....meh, old firm is boring most of the time, you play like 6 times a season aswell.

Yeah, it's not always the best football-wise (we have the English to blame for our decline), but as an occasion... the atmosphere, the passion, everything surrounding it. It's huge. On a much bigger scale than United-Liverpool. The whole country turns its head on Old Firm day.

The biggest is probably Boca vs River Plate though.

United were poor today. Happy with the point, but United looked lost without Nani and Rooney. Really impressed with De Gea today. Not a single stupid mistake, as far as I can remember. Always knew that he'd come good.

Explain why not?

Giggs is a bottle job...although Charlie Adam fits right into the Liverpool cheating cunt bracket.

Apparently City bossed against Villa without Silva, fair play...although my fantasy team is fucked this week.

United weren't poor, it's just Liverpool were better. Having said, it was probably a fair result considering Liverpool's ahem... cheating. Although I'm going to bed tonight upset knowing City are top of the league. I will not allow my future kids to grow up in a world where those mercs win things.

Not in my opinion mate. I think Wayne's was technically greater and after all the shit he'd been getting and been playing quite poor; it really kicked start his season. I literally didn't even celebrate Rooney's, cause i was so stunned.

Technically it wasn't.
Good call to do it, but it was shinned and abit hit and hope.
Berb set himself up for it (audacity), then executed in the top corner, perfection.

Adam did dive for the free kick, but then again, we should have had a penalty for Evans's handball, so swings and roundabouts really. 1-1 was a fair result in the end.

if we're going down that route, United could have had a penalty for Enrique's handball
