We handled the Rooney transfer well as in the end the PR was spun to make Rooney look like a money grabbing tool. The fact he got a new contract, you say was us letting him fuck us up the arse, but he was nearing standard new contract time for top players anyway. Also he stated the reason was we are a team in decline, not showing his desired ambition. Which has been a fear for many United fans under the Glazer regime and is, in my opinion, a valid concern, especially for a world class player.

Tevez stated his intent to leave last winter, and he has subsequently said Manchester is a shithole. But he did reaffirm his intent to stay, that he will play out his contract and he wants to play for city...while Mancini and the club reaffirmed Tevez staying only 3 days ago.
He has not admitted he will have to play out his contract now, as he has handed in a direct request and made it very public very quickly.
Which does make you look silly, as he came to the club for 'success'. City have now qualified for the Champions League after finishing 3rd in the League on equal points to Chelsea. Yet he still wants to leave, for such a clearly horseshit reason. It is laughable.

Well like I said the club aren't bending over for Tevez here. We hold all the cards he has 3 years left on his contract, we will be asking for at least £40 million and then the club who buys him has to deal with his massive wage demands and his cunt of an agent. That basically leaves Barca, Inter, Real Madrid. Barca and Inter have ruled themselves out due to his wage demands (which makes his family excuse piss poor cos if he was that desperate to see them he'd take a wage cut) and Real Madrid would have to sell before they considered buying him.

So basically he can moan all he wants but he hasn't got a leg to stand on. He can either come back and play a part next season which would be great or he can rot in the reserves for 3 years or however long it takes to get a decent offer for him.

And you can try and justify the Rooney thing all you want but you got taken for a ride by him. He knew you wearnt a club in decline he just wanted bigger wages and the only way players can get that these days is to threaten to leave the club.

You don't have a reserve team anymore. Good knowledge.
And he can stay and rot, however, I don't think Tevez is the kind of person who won't kick up a fuss and be a right cock until he gets his way. If you don't sell him, he will be very unsettling after this summer. You claim you hold the cards, but in the modern football reality, you don't players and agents seem to now, Holloway's hilarious rant during the Rooney debacle was partly right.
His excuse is horseshit.
He wants out of City and his agent wants another pay day (Tevez listens to his agent as I think i remember him stating in the past he felt he owes alot Kia Joorabchian for getting him out of his poor life and into the riches out European football). So City can posture all they like, or indeed hold onto him, but it will be counter intuitive for the club due to his nature, temprament and influence (This is your captain demanding he leaves ffs).

And we are a club in decline, we don't buy whoever the fuck we want at will anymore, despite our profits being the largest in the PL, we look for value. And don't mention who we've bought thus far this window as we have yet to sell anyone. We are being ruined by our owners but that is another matter, for another discussion.

Well it'll be interesting to see how things unfold. I do beleive City need to stand firm though on this issue and not just for our club but for every single club. This could set a dangerous precedent where players can walk out on their contracts no matter how long is on them citing "personal reasons". Agents and player power has increased a lot over the last few years so I feel the club does have to throw its weight around on this matter.

Agents and players have been in contol for a while, since the Bosman rule under EU free movement of people and workers, came into place, they have become more aware of their ability to hold clubs to ransom, it has just become a piss take in the past few years.
Agents and corrupt governing bodies are the two main cancers of the game and neither look like they will be removed any time soon.

Well, I'd be pretty embarrassed at my team finishing 21 points behind my arch rivals when they're meant to be challenging for the title. So it's a bit rich, you having a go at Arsenal :P

Brown has now gone to Sunderland for an undisclosed fee. Weird to think that he's been in and around the first team for 13 years, but has never really grasped a place in the team and made it his. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14052308.stm

Well, considering the last 4 games of the championship we played with a B team and lost 3 games or something like that, because the title was hard enough already, and considering the way our arch rivals got to where they were, AND considering we were champions last season (Arsenal wasn't) and also considering that Arsenal is one of the big teams from the supposed biggest league in the world and yet has only 1 final in the champions league, unlike my team that has 7 finals and 2 victories, I'd say I can have a go at Arsenal alright.

I think if you are going to buy a middle of road midfielder you would of been better served with Nolan, at least he has top delivery. As far as average midfielders go he is the one who should be in the PL still.
I wouldn't of thought Adam was a big 4 rated player.

Oh wait......

To be perfectly honest I don't really care though.
O'Shea is gone

Anyone can have a go at anyone, but it is a bit rich if you're looking at each club's season. Arsenal made a big improvement from last season, whereas Benfica's season flopped from the success of the last one.

Also, those European Cup wins were about 50 years ago, I could spill a few Arsenal facts out for you to justify why I could say Benfica are so shit it's embarrasing, but there's no point, because history doesn't reflect the current team.

Take the pieces and build them skywards.

How much did Blackpool manage to get for Charlie Adam then? £9m?

First Andy Carroll for £35m, now this. I think I'd be a little embarrassed to be a Liverpool fan right now.

Well an intersting few days.
Brown to Sunderland, it looks wrong, but can see why he's gone. Same with O'Shea I suppose, as Jones can do CB and DM better and could do a shift at full back, as can Toni V, Evans or Fabio if required. Even so, a shame, I would have liked them both, especially Brown to see their Careers out at OT.

Adam to Liverpool. Thank fuck, that fat, lazy overrated dead ball specialist is a bullet dodged. I hope they paid 9/10 million for him, because he isn't fucking worth it. If you think Ozil was around the same price, it makes you chuckle that Liverpool have been mugged off again. They should have got Nolan, just as good, probably cheaper and will provide Carroll with superior balls, as he did at the Newcastle shitefest.

Now the biggy, Gary Cook called it "one of the most important arrangements in the history of world footballone of the most important arrangements in the history of world football," and he's probably not wrong.
City recently re-leased (arf, still don't own) the stadium and the surrounding grounds from Manchester City Council, seemingly including the right to obtain profits from naming rights.
As they have just sold such rights.
To Etihad.
The Abu Dhabi national airline. For around 300m, seemingly over normal market rate.
As Allinaz paid Bayern £4m, Emarites 10m to Arsenal, Galasaray get 7m. All much more profitable and well known than City.
However it does include shirt sponsorship and United is 20, so they'll claim 10m stadi and pariti with United (horseshit) and Uefa will rubber stamp it.
This makes Ehitad and 3 other companies who are currently sponsoring City owned by Abu Dhabi, who all autonomously decided to sponsor them after City were bought by the same Royal Family.
Financial Fair Play at its finest.

City's owners haven't made billions by being stupid. They'll know every loop hole in the financial fair play and they will exploit it. As will most other teams who have rich owners.

I never said they were stupid.
I've always said Financial Fairplay is moronic and they wouldn't sign upto it if they could exploit loopholes.
Doesn't make it any less disgusting or shit that a mediocre team is working at beyond its means.
