The choice was either he sits on the bench and deteriorates as a footballer, because Roy doesn't seem to have a place for him in the squad, or goes out on loan to regain full match fitness and spends a season playing constant football, so he'll be greatly improved for next season.

Satisfied with the result at Fulham, Never a penalty so justice was done there, however why the hell Nani took it i'll never know, Paul Scholes is a fucking legend and Villa are shocking. Thank you and goodnight.

I'm disappointed with the result. We just sat back, when we went one nil up, then seemed to loose all steam when they equalised. Lucky second and i always thought they'd equalise once nani missed.
There is one positive. In the corresponding fixture last year we lost 3-0 so....
(Ignore the fact carrick was centre back with De laet for that game...not an arguably full strength minus Rooney team)

In theory its a great idea, but they really should fire whoever decided that version was ok to use

...I like Colin Murray. He's a good pundit, very very good on Fighting Talk, the best sports show on the radio. And i met him once, outside Wembley at the Carling Cup Final last year and he was lovely. I was pissed I'd lost my phone the week before so could snap him :P.

Wow.
Whilst I'm all for Roy trying something new, it was clear it wasn't working before half time, so why not change it then? They were simply better than us and wanted it more. I'm also a tad concerned that with Mascherano's departure looking imminent, and Aquilani going out on loan, where our cover is going to come from in central midfield if Poulsen, Lucas or Gerrard get injured. I think the Aqua deal needs to be cancelled sharpish if we're going to lose Masch.
Still, seriously need to step up our game if we're to contend for 4th again, was a strong performance against Arsenal and we were unlucky to drop 2 points, but you just can't be trying new tactics against City away, leave that for something like West Brom at home (coincidentally, our next match). No doubt it will be pointed out almost everywhere over the next 24 hours that this leaves us 17th, but really... so? Only 2 games played and they haven't exactly been against the easiest teams in the world.
