YES, ZLATAN, YES, I FUCKING LOVE YOU!

That cancels out my disappointment at Chelsea beating Arsenal. Real Madrid lost. That's made my day.

Yep, so we can THRASH THE HELL OUT OF YOU! If that tie does happen, I can't wait to see the face of my economics teacher on the Monday after when Leeds have been trounced 4-0 by Fergie's kids. Quick question - have any of the Leeds starting XI ever played against United for Leeds?

Lol you obviously haven't watched the game. How the fuck can you support a team that defends in their own stadium against a brilliant attacking team like Real today? If Ronaldo was 100% fit he would have scored the goal with eyes closed.
I've never been so proud of this team, we fucking kicked their arses in the Camp Nou. More shots on target, more situations. We played brilliant, while Barcelona had 2 good chances, one of them turned out the winning goal.
I don't care for the stupid 3 points, the team made me proud to be a fan.
Messi, Henry and Iniesta were ridicules, one of the worst performances I've ever seen out of the three. Zlatan was really quiet too besides the goal. All of their team played bad except Puyol, Pique and Abidal- 3 defenders.

Real played better by far, that's obvious. Barcelona fans themselves admit that Real played better and that we didn't deserve to loose.
Anyway, I'm not disappointed and not upset. Barcelona are going downwards while we improve each game.

I'm the opposite. All I care about is the fact that Barca won and Real lost. Of course I didn't watch the game, I'm not a die hard Barca fan - in fact, I'm not really a fan at all. I just don't like Real Madrid and it was great to hear they'd lost, even if they played better. In fact, it makes it even more satisfying that Barca won, if Real were on top all match, as you say.

The mark of champions is the ability to grind out results even when you aren't playing very well.

If you deserved to win, you would have. A team that doesn't convert their chances is wasteful, and therefore doesn't deserve to win. Fact of the matter is, Barca managed to grind out the result and get away with not playing very well, where as Real, although dominant, wasted every single opporunity they had.

Also, that mark about a team defending in their own stadium, well, teams defend in any stadium, kinda means you don't concede any goals. When playing a team with such attacking quality as Real, maybe the tactic was to go out and shut up shop at the back, and hope for a goal. Which apparently worked.

Yeah, like that always happens. The fact is Barcelona don't even know how they won the 3 points, it's not "mark of champions", it's lucky to not have suffered a goal before and have that chance at that time. Sure, they worked for it, but luck was in there too.

Also, the hate for Real Madrid just because they spent a lot of money is funny, seeing as the goal was scored by Ibrahimovic, the guy who was bought by what, 60 million or something + one of Barcelona's legendary players.

LEEEEL madrid defense force. how can you compare buying 1 ultra expensive player in the summer window to about a dozen like they did? Didn't Real spend like, over £200 million?

The fact that they still can't win after spending that much doesn't reflect on Barcelona and their 'mark of champions' or their players or how they played. It reflects on how pathetic Madrid are. After spending that much money, they still get beaten.

And you can talk about 'luck' but if they are as good as some people say they are, they would've won. Ball goes in the net. They failed to do that. It is nought to do with luck. Try harder, Madrid.

p.s. ibrahimovic's deal was worth £62 million in TOTAL. That is including the money they paid, Eto'o and the £3 million to compensate for the Hleb deal.

So I'd say the hate for Real Madrid spending money is completely rational considering they not only paid £80 million for Ronaldo, but also around £60 for Kaka and another £30 mil here and there for a few other players. Keeping in mind that the previous transfer record was £46 million and in the UK the record still hovers around the £30 mil mark, it just shows you how ridiculous it is.

And I'm not even a Barcelona fan. I just despise Real Madrid.

Mm, well said. Plus you've got to look at the fact that Barcelona transferred a pretty good midfielder and arguably the best striker in the world for Ibrahimovic. AND four of their most important players (Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta and Messi) were all trained at the club from a very young age. Okay, Real have Casillas, and Raϊl has been there for a long time, but otherwise, they've hardly got anyone who came out of the youth squad. I suppose you could mention Guti but he doesn't match up to Iniesta and Xavi.

And yes, champions have the ability to win games against the flow of play. Look at the Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal match at Old Trafford this season. Arsenal played brilliantly, but United still fought back and won.

1. Casillas
2. Arbeloa
3. Granero
4. Guti
5. Raul

3 of them played, 1 is injured and the fifth almost always comes as a substitute and plays really well and I still can't see why he didn't play yesterday.
Anyway, both teams buy a number of players each season, stop with this nonsense. Abidal, Alves, Toure, Keita, Zlatan and Henry all came to Barcelona in the prime of their careers.

I agree that if you want to win the championship you've got to win the games you play bad, but Real are improving from game to game since the start of the season, while Barcelona are only getting worst since last season, I can't see why I shouldn't be optimistic.

Yes it was him, the one who spent €41m on the defender Daniel Alves, €69m on Zlatan and €24m on he 30 years old Henry.

I'm not their defence force, I don't like Real Madrid nor I hate Barcelona. But I guess that "mark of champion" made them lose against Rubin Kazan, maybe Rubin Kazan is just a superior team with the "mark of champion" that made them beat Barcelona at Nou Camp. Now that's something. I don't see the big deal in losing against the European Champions at their home. And you talk like it isn't a big deal what they did for Ibrahimovic. Real spent something like 200, maybe more, so what? Barcelona spent close to half, this season, and they already had the team playing well! Real Madrid wasn't strong, it's expected they wanted to get a better squad with the best players, and they have the money to do so, what's your problem? I seriously don't understand. If it was your team, I'd like to see you moaning around "OH NO! WE'RE BUYING RONALDO AND KAKA, WE'RE FUCKING PATHETIC". At least Real Madrid spent their money on good players, Barcelona spent something like 15 million on Keirrison, and that guy doesn't play shit.

It's also ironic saying Real Madrid doesn't have any players from their youth, when we see Arsenal having 0 English players in the bench, let alone the starting 11.

That was over the space of 3 years. Real spent more in ONE SUMMER.

Buying and selling players has become part of the game, but arguing that real 'breed' their own team is riduclous. They don't.

Keirrison is only 20, so I'd say you should give him a few more years.

But about them 'having' the money - fair enough, they make a lot out of marketing, but it is sickening that they are a club with basically never ending funds. They 'have' the money only because they know that no matter how much they spend, they'll be bailed out. Thus money isn't an issue. It isn't a level playing field.

Of course it isn't, they have endless ways of making money. But then again, it isn't fair to put Man Utd against Portuguese teams, it isn't fair to pitch Portuguese teams against Austrian teams, it isn't fair to put Austrian teams against Welsh teams... That's football.

I'm not really talking about the footballing divide in terms of revenue from advertising and TV licensing. I'm talking about Madrid's direct relationship with the Spanish government.

I don't think they need government help to raise that kind of money, they can gather a lot of support from banks and advertisement companies and so on, because with the amount of support and reputation they have, they'll always be safe. Also, if something goes wrong, they can sell those players for a lot of money.

I still think there needs to be a limit on how high a club can charge/bid for a player, no man is worth 80 million.

Or 60.

Or 40.

Maybe 30 :P
