The Championship this year was the ultimate year for an average side to get out of this division, no team has impressed me that much at all.

Anyway, Burnley are through now after a good win over Reading. The final will be a really close one, I wouldn't be too surprised if it goes to penalties.

Colin, did you see either of Sheff Utd's matches against Preston? I thought we played pretty well, but I'm bias, and curious to hear a neutral's opinion I know saying "we dominated Preston for 150 minutes" isn't saying much, but considering both clubs form of late, it was good work on our part.

Anyway, I'm happy with Burnley. Would've rather had Reading because at least a club worthy of the Prem on their best day would have gone up, but ne'mind, it's obvious who I'm cheering for anywhos.

Right ladies, i cant get James to agree with me here, so i'll ask you lot.

Which was the better goal? Don't consider what it did in terms of the match or in importance, just the goal itself. Which was better or more skillful.

Macheda's against Villa? or Torres' against Blackburn?

I agree with James that the Macheda one was way more important - it won them the game in the dying minutes. But, as a goal on its own, the Torres one was much better. Agree or not?

Look at Macheda's first touch! And then the strike was incredible. Much better than Torres, he knew where the goal was, he didn't have to be looking at it.

I think Macheda, not just because I support United, but because his first touch absolutely ruined the defender, and Torres' goal was kind of a hit and hope, wheras Macheda had it placed into the corner.

Macheda's wins for the importance of the goal, but Torres' one wins for skill. He took himself and the ball away from 2 defenders then still scored the goal with his back basically to the goal. The preciseness of it as well was amazing, perfectly over the keeper.

Yeah, because you'll never be able to afford Tevez this summer. You've got some awesome options upfront even if Tevez hasn't signed on properly yet.

Edit: Good goal. Another comeback from Man Utd, well done to them.

Errrm Sky Sports says that he's scored 18 goals this season in all competitions. That's still a pretty good strike rate considering he's apparently only played 31 games.

Berba has scored 14 this season, but this just boots my point. People are just slagging off Berba just because he doesn't run as fast as Rooney or Tevez. He never has done, so he won't change.

Edit: There you go; Man Utd want to keep Tevez. That's the end of it then.

I love Berbatov, awesome player. I also like Tévez.

Macheda's goal was the better one in my opinion, by the way.

Eh? everyone one berbatovs back is really getting on my tits now.
He scores, a fair amount...just under 1 every 3, not bad especially considering he seems to play a much deeper role than at tottenham.
He runs alot more than people give him credit for, in the two legs against inter he ran more distance in the same time than christiano in each game, he was second to rooney in one i think and thrid in another. He does alot of very useful tracking back and can tackle well enough for a striker...better than scholesy anyway :P.
But importantly, look at his first touch, i mean Macheda's was good, but berba has shoes with glue on, he then has the ability to hold up play and wait for support despite incredible pressure be it thorugh a nice skill, ala the repeated mardadona like turns he's been using lately, or physical strength he seems to muster from nowhere.
He also has the most assists in the league, without that tevez or others wouldnt get the goals in the first place, because berba has good vision and nice passing.
Tevez, dont get me wrong is a great player, but when he's chasing things down normally it's because of his first touch, which is heavier than that of a rapist. His goal against City was set up by a beautiful control by berba which had that been tevez would have probably fired off for a goal kick.
However he is a great finisher, especially from distance...not as good one on one with the keeper. And i do admire his work rate as most united fans love a good grafter.
I'd personally like both but if i had to pick i'd have berba because rooney can play tevez's terrier like role just as well when he's not implemented on the wing.
Altho we may say we want to keep him....we do have season tickets to sell and that kia joobastard has denied any offers being made, to be fair i don't believe anything until it's agreed anymore.
Right rant over...phew maybe that should be in the vent thread.
Also macheda's goal is better.

Simon Grayson is a very good League 1 manager, even if you lose both those players then he'll sign some decent ones to make up for it. You'll be fine. Shame though, I really wanted Leeds to go up this year.
