Sir Alex is talking to Berbatov now, Sky Sports are practically having sex with the story so it's true. I think he's off to United, no doubt now.
Arsenal have been suspiciously quiet.

He doesnt row.

EDIT: @ Jo Accepting an offer does not equal a transfer deal though, the player still has a big say, especially on a day like today.
EDIT 2: Sky Sports News are always having sex with these type of stories...

Oh I know, it's just weird how Sky Sports are so adament they are right, and BBC havn't said anything about him being at United. Just that the city offer is the one that has been accepted.
If you expect that muffin to fly back to the kitchen you best go and get it a cape.

I hope he goes to City, to piss United off!!
I want Arsenal to sign a defender or a defensive midfielder. Denilson isn't the best, but he has time on his side.

Update! Sir Alex picked up Berbatov personally from Manchester airport, drove to United training ground and talked for an hour and a half. Sir Alex has recently left, however, no sign of Berbatov leaving. My suspicions is that Berbatov is having a medical as we speak.
This is gripping stuff. This is much more exciting than the opening ceremony in Beijing.

He's surely gotta go to United. I can't see him signing for City if both Real and United are interested.
EDIT:
BBC:
Quote Manchester City's prospective new owner Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim has revealed he has made bids for Valencia's David Villa and Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez
Guess that confirms they've given up on Berbatov

I can't see Villa going to City. Hasn't he recently signed a contract with Valencia?

Yeah i'm pretty sure he did that t'other day didn't he? Bleugh. I highly doubt it as well. But if Villa moves to the premiership and isn't playing for Liverpool I shall be sad.

City think they can sign anyone. They have nothing to offer at the moment except money, and a mid-table battle.

1744: BIG TRANSFER COMPLETED
Liverpool's official website tells the world the news it was massively expecting - Espanyol winger Albert Riera, formerly of Manchester City, has joined on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be about £8m.

Very good signing!

Birmingham NEC - 15/11/06

Still nothing confirmed and now Man City are being linked with Robinho!?!
A crazy day that will only get crazier.
EDIT: 2023: "There are deals we're chasing and bids we've put in, I don't know how many will come to a successful resolution. It's always difficult on the last day of the window. As for Berbatov, I'd like the chance to speak to him, but I haven't been afforded that opportunity yet. We're in there trying, though."

0005: TRANSFER CONFIRMED AND MY GOD IT'S A CRACKER
Robinho, the 24-year-old Brazilian, has left Real Madrid and signed for Manchester City. That is officially the biggest deadline day deal in history. Probably.
|
|
|
worst career move in history, probably
|
|
|
Agreed. Robinho has quality to play everywhere, and he goes to Man City? Lame. I guess money talks louder.
|
|
|
Its going to be interesting.
He'll probably end up like Vassell though
|
|
|
Vassel was never a great player, though.
