A priest God never paid :
Should've known it wouldn't be the case. How can a player as average as Young be so decisive? Anyway, our defending was poor enough as well, I'm done torturing myself.

Young is better than average, he had a dip in form after the injury, he's been poor in the middle, but seems to be getting back in his stride again.
"You're just a shit Aaron Lennon" was the chant to him at OT, oh dear :P.

We mugged you in that game.

My fantasy team is too, RVP (c) saved it abit.
But missed pen and yellow = -1
Red card = -2
No silva or Dzeko
Assou-Ekotto conceeding three aswell. Bad week.

What a huge result that was. Massive. That could potentially win us the league reguardless of the City vs Utd game when you look at the fixtures for the run in. Thats how champions win. I don't believe anyother team in the league could do that. To go to Spurs, play out one of your worst performances of the season and come away with a 1-3 win? Sensational.

Also, Ashley Young's record in PL games vs top 5 teams: 6 games, 4 goals, 5 assists. Yet a find myself ripping on the fucker for virtually 90 minutes everytime he plays.

Abramovich is such a cock. Chelsea need a long-term manager who can revamp their squad and get them back to their best again. Bar Lampard, and Drogba at points, their older players are getting past it. Terry and Cole are so shaky compared to how they were a few years ago. Sell Torres, Meireles and Luiz, get a new centre mid, new centre back, new full back and another striker, all preferably young. Then again Torres Meireles and Luiz won't fetch much, the way they've been performing. Give Bosingwa to Coventry City on a free.

I can't tell if Villas-Boas was the right man for the job or not, simply because he barely had any time to prove himself. He made a great signing in Juan Mata, who's been one of their few consistently good performers this season (along with fat Frank and Sturridge), so maybe given some time he'd have brought in a few other decent players. Abramovich isn't going to get the Champions League if he maintains his impatience though.

Pavel Pogrebnyak for Fulham as well, what a signing! Five goals in his first three games. Cracking replacement for Zamora.

Thoughts on England: managers, and more importantly everyone else, need to stop throwing around the possibility of new players joining the England squad. We're experimenting too much. I hate the way that as soon as an English player starts performing well in the Premier League, they're instantly whacked into a friendly because they could be the 'cure' to our international problems. Why has Zamora been capped?! And Matt Jarvis?! We need to decide on a squad and stick with it in order to get some consistency. We faff around far too much, trying to make little adjustments here and there thinking that they might help. Capello didn't help that at all. Alright, we won games under him, but he was far too liberal with his call ups. He ended up dishing out caps to pretty much anyone who did well in the PL. And silly decisions like not talking Walcott to the World Cup but taking Shaun Wright-Phillips, who'd barely done anything significant in a football match for years, didn't do us any good.

If we're going to use a young squad, then use a young squad. If we're going to stick with the veterans, stick with the veterans. I'm fine with bringing young players in, but once they're in, leave them in the line-up. We need a consistent first-team which we can field in every match in the Euros. I'm talking about a team which, if asked, you'd be able to reel off, off the top of your head. If you asked me what the starting 11 was going to be in our next match, I'd be clueless. We need to cement some spots in that squad. Plus I reckon if players are given a cemented spot like that, they'd work much harder to keep themselves in the team.

In Euro '96, Venables played the same 11 players in all the group matches, and made one change in the knockouts. We had a great tournament as well, even beating the Dutch 4-1. As far as I know, he played that same squad in every game for the whole year running up to the tournament. He had the right idea.

Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

Chelsea are a fucking laughing stock. I find them hilarious; Circus FC.

I think they're the worst club you could possibly manage. Up their with Madrid.

They have two of the biggest cunts in football as their owner and captain in Abramovic & Terry, along with many other cunts, genuinely shite players and the worst fans in Britain. Fuck Chelsea. I hope they rot.

The best thing about AVB leaving is that I wont have to listen to the most annoying voice on the planet anymore.

Wouldn't get too hyped up about Pogrebnyak, just remember he is Russian :P

Problem is, if England used a young squad and did bad, you'd get reactions like "oh, they're not ready, we should have used some older players for experience" etc, and if you used a highly capped squad, you'd get all the "they're past it, give the younger players a chance" etc. At the end of the day though, and it's a tired excuse but, it's the media's fault who paint England to be these brilliant and plucky losers.

And let's be honest, England aren't that brilliant, their world ranking is a joke and so whatever team is played, it's going to get slated because the majority think England are brilliant when, realistically, they're nowhere near world class. It's just a stupid merry-go-round every 2 years which has put me off watching and even supporting England because it's just so depressing and full of false hope all the time.

The whole reason we're crap is because we don't play a consistent team though. That and the fact that Premier League managers discourage their players' success internationally so much that they simply can't be arsed when it comes to playing for England. If we kept a solid starting 11 going for a while, the players would probably gel quite well into a decent first team. But we experiment and mess around with squads far too much, leaving us with a really disjointed team. Actually, it's barely even a team. It's just a collection of players constantly being re-arranged, coming and going with each game we play. We've got some great individual talent but nothing to hold it together.

Incredible game.

Arsenal were so unlucky tonight, their performance deserved so much more. What a first half! It was a fantastic win, and we can take this result and performance into the last games, and fight for that third place! We also got that clean sheet which is always a confidence boost.

Also, Rosicky! Where has this come from! He hasn't played like that in years!

I'm loving the City and United fans aggro over the game on twitter, some can't even acknowledge what a performance that was!

I think tonight has proved how far this young Arsenal team have come since that 8-2 and 4-3 defeats at the beginning of the season.

Take the pieces and build them skywards.
