Haha, no idea...
I don't eat, or something...

But November is always horribly stuffed with gigs!!!

And it's your God-given duty to go to them all? You're just a slave to the gig, that's what you are. Why eat food? Why waste your money paying bills? Who needs a home anyway?

It's my burden that I love so many different types of music and love concerts so much...
Yes, slave to the gig... I like that!

They should introduce season tickets for concert venues!!!

Yeah, good idea...maybe then I'd go and see more acts. Then again, there are very few acts that I really want to see...I'd like to see The Mars Volta, Tool and Sigur Ros sometime (maybe at the same time? that would be weird...), and Muse again of course, but there aren't many others I would be interested in hearing live. I'm very picky.

I do like the Mars Volta. Some nice, if a little mad, lyrics, and some very good musicianship.

"Multiple sons, with their mandible tongues" would be a good example.

Apparently their new album is going to be completely different. More punkish.

I'm on a Mars Volta forum, but I haven't been there for a few months. When I was there last they were talking about an album full of three minute songs.

I saw them at Birmingham Academy, and they were amazing.

I went to see these in Manchester last year. Travelled 3 hours to get their in a rented minibus, cost quite a lot to get there. SO EXCITED we were then a phone call JUST as we got there 'Hello, the Mars Volta gig in Manchester has been cancelled'

D'OH!!

My 2nd favourite band to Muse though non the less. Stupid Cedric losing his voice though...

Not punkish!! gay! I don't like the filler on Francis the Mute, but Cassandra kicks ass. Greatest song ever written. EVER!

I also love Con Safo(its the last part of Cygnus and Miranda)

Anyway... new album in August?? excellent....

Where should one start with The Mars Volta?
I've only heard Televators, and i'm guessing that isn't an accurate portrayal of their music.
