good god that race was insane. 7 car battles and 3 or 4 cars side by side and all sorts!

Well done Nico

It was a good race, and this might be a good season! Lots of teams at the same kind of pace, and not (yet) a clearly superior car.

It's a shame Lotus kept Kimi out for too long, he should have pitted, he wouldn't have had the podium, but then he might have had some points.

Very happy Rosberg finally got his first win .

Reasonable race, shame it's cost people their lives.
Fuck you Ecclestone.

Anyhoo, I knew it wouldn't be long until Lotus become my favourite team. Top show by the pair of them and good to see Grosjean getting a podium. It's nice to see Mclaren ballsing up, although I do like Jenson.
Also, Boo Vettel.

Yeah, great podium, but it's a shame Vettel was first. This is the first time I've supported a team, and not just Kimi, but Team Lotus deserves it! Their twitter account is pretty good too: @Lotus_F1Team. Last week when Kimi went from second to fourteenth or something in one lap they tweeted: "Kimi lost a shed load of places there. Wasn't the plan" that made me laugh .

I don't know what to think of the whole Bahrein issue, cancelling the race last year didn't really help, maybe the race will get some more people to notice what's going on there, but it could also be seen as support for the royal rulers.

Loving this season so far, lots of overtaking, no dominant team, four different race winners and Kimi could even win a race .

Also, I don't like Vettel, but he and Kimi really do get along, I like it when rivals get along:

I'm no Kimi fan but I'm really enjoying him this season. Shutting up all this bullshit when people say 'oh he's not motivated' etc. He's been brilliant entertainment.

Good race today, great for the normally awful Bahrain races. Shouldn't have happened though.

also, this is fantastic as Jake and DC bump into Brundle

Absolutely mental result, I just don't know where to start about the season so far.

Shame though the fairytale didn't have a great ending.

Why is this thread not more alive?

Anyway, Canada this weekend. I wanted to watch qualifying this evening, the schedule for RTL GP said it would be on from 8 to 9 pm, so I thought that would be when qualifying was actually on. Turns out they delayed their broadcast by an hour, so people could watch the stupid football first and then watch qualifying, which wasn't live on tv at all. So I missed Q1 and Q2 and found a live stream (the Sky stream) for Q3, but Kimi was already out then, so it wasn't very interesting.

I hate football so much... I don't know how it is in the UK, but all of the Netherlands is orange, it's horrible. And you can collect cards and shit in all supermarkets, it's on the news every day, and now RTL GP even delayed the F1 broadcast for that disgrace of a 'sport'... I'm so glad the stupid Dutch team lost against Denmark, I hope they're out of the tournament soon, then it will be over with all the orange madness. This should go in the Vent thread, I know. /end rant

Lol, good rant.
I agree, this thread should be kicking. Best start to a season ever, six races and six winners.
On another football related note, I cannot support Sauber anymore.

Make that 7 races and 7 winners! This keeps getting better and better . And with Grosjean and Perez on the podium too, that's brilliant! I hope Sauber or Lotus win the next race, preferably Kimi of course.

No crash, and it was still a good race. I'm slightly disappointed that Grosjean is doing better than Kimi, but I like Lotus as a team, and Grosjean is a nice guy too. And I'm glad the Roland Garros final was delayed until tomorrow, it would have been a hard choice between that and F1.

^ What's the link between Sauber and football?

I feel sorry for Alonso though, that cliff thing happened to Kimi once, it's not nice.

I've been watching every race this year but visiting r/formula1 more. Great season so far. This is my first time watching a whole year of races in real time, and valencia was far from boring haha.

That was an incredible race! I was so happy when Hamilton crashed out, I really don't like him. And the race would have been better if Alonso's tires had hit the cliff, Kimi would have been first, but Alonso was so happy with his win! It was great to see .

Unbelievable, an interesting race at Valencia, who would have thought.

You know, since I first started getting interested in Formula 1 here, you successfully transferred your Kimi love to me haha. Plus i love his "i don't give a shit" driving style and personality, without being a crashing asshole. Plus he loves to party. I like that.

I love how much he couldn't of gave a shit about coming second in Valencia, I mean he was lucky to finish in the top 5 at the end so you would of thought 2nd was a pretty good achievement for Lotus but he just didn't care at all.
Also Kobayashi is a mentalist too with his oranges.

Yay, success! . Kimi is hilarious because he doesn't give a shit. But on the other hand, he does care, because he really wants to win a race, he wasn't happy with his second place in Valencia. And I like that he seems to get along with all other drivers, unlike Hamilton/Massa/Maldonado/Vettel etc.
I hope he wins a race this season, he deserves it . Maybe Belgium, that's always been a good race for him.
