Personally i don't mind the french grand prix not being there, it isn't exactly the most interesting race and the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere makles it hard for fans to get there too. If it gets replaced with a street circuit in paris or something like they are talking about it would be good, although i can see it just being another tilke clone track that replaces it, which will only be slightly better, unless he can somehow make one like turkey again

i also heard Melbourne may be replaced by another circuit made purposely for night races can't remember what its called though.

yeah, it'll be one up on the Gold Coast, in Queensland. Sounds like a novelty idea, but not one i'd be willing to sacrifice the Melbourne GP for.

yeah i like Melbourne too, but if it's changed for a night race... if that turns out to be a good idea, then i don't mind it that much.
Qualifyings are still boring, even with that knock-out system. A ferrari in front again, McLarens not far behind. Coulthard and Barrichello had to change their engines, so they'll get a penalty.
What happened to Honda and Renault? They're lost...

Yeah Massa didn't look very good. But i really think Hamilton deserved his second place. Kimi just wasn't fast enough, until the end of the race when he suddenly got very close.
Did everybode see Kimi's new tattoo? . I wonder what happened to the smiling sun.

i like that one! It's a bit big maybe, but it's cool it's on his wrist. That's different.

Na, I don't like it. It's too big and not very innovative. Too many people have tribals.

Heidfeld is my hero today . Overtaking Alonso! Brilliant. Hamilton is scary. He's just too good. I can't understand how he can be so calm about it.
This was a very good race.
Wow, three leaders in the World Championship. This is gonna be a great season. I hope McLaren and Ferrari stay that close.

Heidfeld was very good, Alonso just didn't seem to be at the races (pardon the pun) all weekend though. What i preferred was the fact that aguri are still far faster than the Honda team!
I thought Hamilton was going to be good when he came in, but i didn't think he would be this good, he seems to have adapted to f1 almost instantly. It looks like we may have a British champion in the near future again, first chance since Damon.

yeah he'll win the championship either next year or the year after i reckon

"Singapore will stage a Formula One Grand Prix next year, with the race set to be the first in the sport's history to be held at night.
It will be on a street circuit around the Marina Bay district, and is planned for September or early October. "
more street races! not only will there be a street race in Singapore, there'll also be a street race in valencia, well, they call it an "urban circuit".

All these extra races worry me, they are probably going to be on really boring tracks with no overtaking, like monaco and the british gp will probably dissapear after the contract runs out in 2009. Although a night race could be interesting

I love the Singapore idea . And another race in Spain, could be good.
Ferrari and McLaren are so close. This is a great season already. It's looking good for the race tomorrow.

Why do they want a night race so badly? The only real difference between night and day races is the temperature seeing as the whole track will be spotlighted.
oh and why did they change the track in Spain? It's rubbish now.

I think the main point of the night races is so that you can watch them in europe without having to get up in the middle of the night. Although it would be interesting just to see something different.
they changed the track in spain to make it safer and apparently better for overtaking. Fat lot of good it did, apart from teh first few laps, there were nothing memorable about it at all. Hamilton is top of the table now and living in Holland i can avoid all the hype they have on itv and the press.

That was a weird race. No one crashed (except for Wurz) yet 8 people didn't finish.
Raikkonen with some electrical problem . That's very not-Ferrari-style.
Nick Heidfeld: "For some reason the front right wheel was loose, we have to look at it how this happened."
I know how that happened... .
Super Aguri rules! .

It was indeed quite a strange race. That was great when that Toyota mechanic was there holding the wheel nut looking very confused.
It's a shame that Davidson isn't doing better in the super aguri, he has waited long enough for his chance. I'm not quite sure what happened to him yesterday, but he randomly seemed to go backwards half way through. Super Aguri has the best name on the grid too, and i still love the way that they always beat honda
|
|
|
Super Aguri are fantastic! as for Kimi Raikkonen, i dont even want to talk about it.
I also have no desire to talk about Lewis Hamilton, as thats all they bloody talk about on the itv f1 coverage now. its pissing me off.

McLaren are looking very strong after yesterday, especially Alonso.
Damn i can't see the race this weekend, i'll be at Pinkpop festival . Of all races, i have to miss the Monaco Grand Prix...

I'm probably going to miss it too, my mate is coming over from england so i will most likely be out somewhere, then it's a case of avoiding everything until the torrent has downloaded it and i can watch.
It should be a good race too, there might be some rain, and the new tyre rules could actually make a difference here.

So, was it a good race? My friend said it was a bit boring and i hadn't really missed anything. But in the newspaper this morning i read Ron Dennis had used team orders so that Fernando could win or something . What happened?
