And why not Danielle? well, Sayid crossed the same space Desmond did, and he isn't sick. Maybe it just happens with some bad luck, or something. Maybe it's only possible, but with a little randomness.

Desmond got sick because he was exposed to electromagnetic waves after the implosion of the hatch...Jack didn't say this to faraday cause he doesn't know about it!

That was without a doubt one of the best episodes I've ever seen. And my previously favourite episode was Flashes Before Your Eyes. As one of my good friends says: DESMANIA IS BACK!
I passed my driving exam with flying colours, which is what I get for dropping acid immediately beforehand.
