That felt like a filler episode. I really don't care that much for Kate's dilemmas and runaways from that cop again. And I've never really liked Claire, so meh.

It wasn't a great episode, no. I also don't really care much for Kate, but it was good to see Claire again.

Yeah, Sayid is acting quite obviously like a retard, so it appears he is not the same.
What annoyed me was the whole Kate running for the humpteenth time from the worst police officer ever. Then she goes to Claire and starts talking to her like they're friends. Oh yeah, and just 15 minutes ago she was pointing a gun to Claire's head. But I guess that's not reason enough to start running away from her. Not only not running, but also actually going on for a ride with her.

Yeah, the whole interaction between Kate and Claire was pretty ridiculous. You wouldn't trust some who'd just pointed a gun at your head, no matter what happened afterwards. Then she's holding her hand when she's having the ultrasound! Madness.
But, this is looking increasingly like their consciousnesses are clashing between the two realities. I thought they might be from Jack looking like he had deja vu on the plane at the start of the premiere, and now Claire seems to trust Kate, and says the name Aaron just 'came to her'. I think there's some sort of subconscious merging of each version of the characters.
My brother and I also noticed that events that happened on the island seem to just be repeating themselves, but off the island. Christian's body going missing, Ethan appearing around Claire and the baby. Faraday did say you can't change history... but maybe you can change how and when the events happen?
I'm just theorising :P

its not a solid one but here we go...
you know how MIB said he wanted to go home?
I got an entertainment weekly magazine, and Cuse & lindeloff suggested that MIB wanted to leave the island!
they also suggested that was a BAD idea...
so my theory is that some (or all) of the people are on the island so that they can prevent MIB from leaving because he is PURE EVIL and will do many horrible things if he left the island.
it is a LOOOOOONG stretch, but i thought it was an okay theory!

I have a serious game-changing theory that I'll put in spoiler tags 'cause it'd suck if I was right.
The MiB is actually the "good guy" in the greater scheme of things and Jacob was the "bad guy". Not much weight to it apart from little tidbits here and there but it's just the kind of thing the writer's would do

So we were wrong about revived Sayid being Jacob? Smokey can take multiple forms and he has come back as Sayid. Seems like the obvious explanation but no one has mentioned it yet.
But then again the people at the temple were calling it an 'infection' and saying that it hadn't reached his heart yet. Which would suggest that Smokey can't claim his hosts straight away. But this of course blows the revival theory out of the water. Also, not really certain yet on why the others at the temple need Jack, Kate, Hurley, etc alive. They were obviously on the list for some purpose. Agh! All so confusing...
EDIT: ^^^^ Yeah that would make sense. Thats why she had to kill them all. So that they wouldn't change. I think she killed them anyway, memory is cloudy.
