I think there going to find another hatch...like they will for the next 5 series so that by season 8 (the last series) there will be a city on the island and it wil turn into something crap like sex in the city, but with polar bears

Michael does kill Ana-Lucia, and Libby (Hurley's girlfriend). Then he shoots himself in the arm and makes it look like Henry Gale shot them all. The Others sent him to bring Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley to their camp in exchange for Walt.

So yeah the monster is just like a big black clud... Or is it? The therory of nanobots have been thrown around regarding the monster, a big swarm of nanobots. My theory:
--SPOILERS UP TO THE END OF SERIES 2 HERE--
Dharma have used this island to create a utopia, harnessing it's magic (The monster(S)) and its natives (The Others). Right now the island is still testing them, filtering out the ones who deserve to live ion this utopia from the undeserving ones. Think about it, charlie has been tested with the Heroin appearing and so on... The Others *ARE* good guys, they are taking the deserved ones (Sawyer, Hurley, Kate nd Jack) to previously mentioned "Barracks" Where they will be safe from further testing/judging until the scan of the inhabitants has been completed. The Monster rules all, it commands the others and judges the inhabitants, have you noticed when people stand their ground in front of the monster they do not get judged...? (Locke on his first encounter, Mr Eko in The 23rd Psalm) but when they run they get attcked? (Airplane Pilot, Locke second time round...?) Locke already knew this due to his first encounter which is why he wanted Jack to let him go in Exodus (Pt. 2) sayin it was his "destiny". In regards to the whole numbers-entering electro-magnetic feild thingy, i belive this generates a form of inpenetrable bubble around the area of the island (Desmond described it as "being in a bloody snowglobe") and they need to regulate this in order for the bubble not no proverbally "burst" and release the monster which i belive was the first "incident". Have you ever actually seen the others KILL anyone? I know theres still some loose ends i was jus sharing my progress so far... anyone else?

I forgot to mention, the others take the children because their minds are still mouldable, they can be trained to be judges after the other others have died and there are some new lostees...
