I want an old school fender Strat - probably 60's one, made up to look like David Gilmours
with some nice little chips on it too!

Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst (2003 Reissue)
It's the same guitar Adam Jones from Tool uses, although he has like 2 or 3 old ones ('60s I think) with those infamous finish problems (which turn to green with time) and some from 2003. He also uses a Les Paul with natural finish which is beautiful too.
(this one has some mods, as you can see...)

The best you can get without paying a lot of money is the Yamaha Pacifica with single-cutaway design.

I've never been a fan of Fender's range but after stealing a few minutes with a couple of strats and a tele I have to say they are supremely beautiful guitars to play - I didn't plug in so can't comment on tone but the feel of the necks and the ease of playing were unmatched. Now I want a decent job to get one for myself

Personally, I like that color the most.
I plan on buying an early/mid 90's one sometime, but they're still expensive.

a mate of mines Dad has a Strat from the 70's - which he's probably played for a total of 5 hours since he got it - original strings and everything!!!
I was able to play it for a couple of hours on the day of Muses gig in Dundee (i remember waiting for KoC to download while playing the strat - then hearing KoC for the first time!) and that guitar really was amazing!!!
You can defo tell why people go vintage!

i know it's meant to be a crap guitar but i still have my heart set on a JT-RES.. it's just so pretty.. i guess it's just the same as somebody wanting the same clothes as Matt cos it's all about how cool something looks in the end haha! especially when it comes to crap guitarists like me who probably couldn't even sound half decent with the best quality guitar in the world!!

Jackson DK2S sustainiac? gorgeous guitar and extreamly fun to play! got a nice infinite feedback system and harmonic blend switch all in black yadda yadda yadda want want want
