Well, what makes you think it's real? Saying "this is real" isn't enough. I gave strong arguments, so now do the same to prove it's real. Fact is, Tom Kirk NEVER said it was real, he's just asked to take the links down. So far, no fan can prove he met the band and asked them about the tape. I will only be sure the day there's an interview on this OR if I meet the band personnally.

SpaceDemented, for the "one kind of a thing oh my god what is that" vinyl, can you post clearer pictures here please? Cause I've looked at the link and there is nothing written on it, it's all white looool... can't really prove it's genuine with that

Why some people still want to argue about whether or not the 1995 "This Is A Muse Demo" tape is real or not is beyond me. It's been confirmed more times than George Bush has said the word "evil"...

I didn't get it from eBay or anything, but as with many rare objects there's no way of telling whether it's genuine or not - aoart from the fact that it's so obscure there's no reason why a fake would exist. Time has passed and now people just took it for a truth because it was sold for 500£. By the way, who told you it was Dom's girlfriend? Why would his girlfriend live in America, doesn't make sense. Stop inventing fake stuff, this demo tape MAY be real, but for all we know, the packaging is a fake.

Nice finds mate, although the vinyl EP is a fake ;) There was one on ebay yesterday , it went for 104 GBP. The seller got like 10-20 of those EP (mail him if you want to verify), he's selling them at a slow rate so the price is still high. Definitely fake.


As for the demo cassette, the packaging is fake: Muse was not called Muse until 1996. Maybe the contents are real, but the packaging was definitely a fake, my explanation is very coherent, and the group KNOWS about 12 monkeys, there's an interview in which they said it was one of their fav movies, so don't lie, they all know about it.

Mmm still no signon Musewiki about the rarest stuff you'll know about soon...

Mmm so we can't prove they're real. I mean for the vinyl, there's really no sign of a Muse logo or any label, so anyone could fake it with pictures, that's the reason it's so obscure, only that fan made those pictures. I don't believe any of this is real.

Well I certainly don't own a lot of the stuff you're about to see at the end of this week, but they are real. Some Muse stuff are reaaaaally doubtful.

Perhaps we should all move on the official board for a while and have a definative "is this thing real?" discussion - there's way too much conufion etc. And we should get Tom Kirk involved...or something .

I have asked Dom!!!! - why you belive negative evidence from Tom (did you actually asked him?) and you don't believe a positive reply from Dom. I don't lie - there were several other people around me that can confirm what he said. He definately confirmed the tape, but about the movie he said he knows the film, but has no idea of the connection with the design. My friend had the design on his t-shirt, and Dom went like this : "Oh i designed that picture, it's made from a photo of me" (- he said that even before we asked him about the movie).

You are actually talking about the EP design ;) It's true that they have used Dom's face for the Muse EP design, however as for the 12 monkeys movie, it's a fact that they inspired themselves from here.

Contrary to Kal_Hell, I think that the samples are very genuine, this is definitely Matt's voice, however, he made some really good points on the packaging, and with a few collectors we are discussing about this, we may as well create a debate on the collectors forum. Anyway, even if it comes out that the packaging would have been made up, I would definitely try to buy it for the contents.

Every time one of these debates over the demo comes up, it gets confirmed again and again... The demo is Muse, it's been confirmed so many times like I said before....

I'd give it 2 months, then another "boarder" will argue it, saying there is no proof and deny that the demo is Muse again... then another stupid debate will start again... its so pointless to argue with such uninformed people, I don't know why I sometimes bother.

The demo is really Muse damn it.. lol. Do you really think I'd set up a whole website dedicated to it if I wasn't 100% sure? I've done my homework... some people need to do theirs.

Next time it happens, link to this and then get it locked! I'm fed up of all these demo discussions too.

Better yet, I'll start a section on my site with different links to this board confirming the demo's validity.. as soon as I can track them all down.
