Hmmm, I just sent him a letter. I pretended I was an Agnostic thinking about becoming a Christian. That way he might reply. I tried to put everything in a way that isn't so defensive, that way he might take me more seriously. I guess we'll see what happens...

Dear Tim Todd,
I have a few questions about the Christian faith that I would hope
you could answer for me. I read your website thetruthforyouth.com,
but I am still confused on several aspects. Please explain to me how
a genre of music is evil and sinful? I'm thinking about becoming a Christian, so please try and answer me truthfully. I listen to rock music all the time, and there is nothing sinful about it. It brings us up from our darkest times, and it helps us cope with problems of our world today. So can you explain how you deduct that rock music is a sin?
And abortion? I understand being against abortion that is for no
rason whatsoever, but what about those medical reasons? I would
assume that your thoughts were "abortion is playing God". What about our doctors? When a doctor heals a man with the use of his medicine, is he playing God too? So does that make going to doctors a sin? I'm still confused.
Where you serious in those comics that you presented on your website? I can tell you now, that even the strongest of Christian children don't act the way you portrayed them in your comics. Maybe if you actually observed a teenager, you could portray them more clearly.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Please reply, as my becoming a Christian hangs on this letter.

Hey! He actually wasn't sure whether or not I was truly thinking about becoming a Christian, Which is funny, becuase I thought I'd been sracastic enough to hint that that was by no means true. Ah well. Here's his reply. I wrote him back, but I accidently deleted the email. Here's his reply... (lazy man couldn't write his own message, the highlighted stuff is his answers)

Ariana, So good to hear from you. I will take your questions seriously:

As the comic states, any music that is in opposition to the Bible should not be listened to.

No where in the abortion comic do I insinuate that going to the doctor for a sickness in your body is a sin. However, no one should have the right to take another persons life, in the womb or out of the womb.

These comi cs were developed after close study of teen! agers an d communicating to them and with them for more than twenty years.

I am still trying to determine if you are seriously considering becoming a Christian. I will let you know Ariana, Jesus loves you and He died on the cross for you so that you could live for Him.

God's very best to you as you seek after Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Respectfully, Tim Todd

A few more comments on this letter. He can't type, and he evades my real question. Hm.. (sarcastic) I'm still not sure if I'll become a Christian..

Religious extreemism is just plain stupid and wrong. Just read the homosexuality cartoon. It's a load of bollocks. They've actually shown that part of being homosexual is genetic and to do with how the brain works. Some of it is personal choice but quite a bit of it is your genetics. The cartoons can't even get their facts right.

Also rock music being sinful errrr no, what about rap music isn't that much more violent than rock music and even if rock music is violent it's not preaching it's just music.

Sad people.

Reading it makes me feel ill, but I must continue until I've gone through each comic! It's hard to imagine that someone believes these things to such an extent. The evolution one was quite bad, saying that the whole theory was racist and that science is too inaccurate to be trusted. And looking at pornography will doom us to a life of failed marriages and abusing women? Well, I'm convinced! I have yet to read the rock music one, but I doubt it'll top the views on homosexuality and evolution... Oh, but if all this crap they're saying about condoms and safe sex were true, woulldn't the condom manufacturers just fix it? It's not as if they'd just ignore a 15% failure rate.
